Simon Says - Sentiment As The Focus

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

SENTIMENT AS THE FOCUS

I used Tim Holtz/Sizzix Big Frights and Simple Plaid Thinlits, Stampers Anonymous Spooky Spirits and Perfect Plaids and Idea-ology Mummy Cloth to create a neutral colours Halloween card on a Distress Black HeavyStock and Distress Rock Candy Chunky Glitter background.

I die-cut the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Simple Plaid Thinlits from double sided adhesive sheet, fixed to an A2 panel of Distress Black HeavyStock, removed the top carrier sheet and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Chunky Glitter, I place the card in folded over copy paper, pressed all over with my hand and brushed off the excess glitter

I die-cut the panel with the shadow die from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Big Frights, fixed to an A2 panel of Distress Black HeavyStock and die-cut the word from the cut out shadow panel.

I die-cut the Big Frights word 3 times from Distress Watercolor card and layered to create dimension. I stamped the small ghosts from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Spooky Spirits, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and die-cut using the co-ordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp. I smooshed the Old Paper Distress Oxide ink pad on to my glass mat, spritzed with water, dipped the die-cut and stamped images into the ink and dried.

I got a little bit caught up in the process and forgot the photograph the steps from here on. I used the word die-cut to position the ghosts and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium. With the die-cut still in place temporarily, I fixed the inner sections of the word die-cut from the glitter background back into the negative spaces. I removed the word die-cut, overstamped with the background stamp from Stampers Anonymous Perfect Plaids, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and fixed back into place using Simon Says Thin Foam Squares. I added teased out pieces of Idea-ology Mummy Cloth held in place with dots of Distress Collage Medium.

I inked the sentiments from Spooky Spirits with Versamark ink, stamped on to scraps of Distress Black HeavyStock, sprinkled with white embossing powder, heat set, trimmed and fixed in place with Simon Says Stamp Thin Foam Squares. To finish I fixed the panel to a top folding white card blank leaving a small border around the edge.
