Hello my friends, I'm sharing a winter card I made using Simon Says Stamp Verdant Wreath Embossing Folder from the Sending Cheer release. You can find all the fabulous products from the release HERE.
I also used the adorable snowman and sentiment from Tim Holtz STAMPtember Season of Wonder stamp set and co-ordinating dies. The stamps and dies are sold out but I have linked an alternative below or you may have a suitable stamp or die in your stash that would work too.I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4" and used Salvaged Patina and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks and a Distress Sprayer to create a soft background. I embossed using Simon Says Stamp Verdant Wreath Embossing Folder and coloured the leaves using Salvaged Patina and Wilted Violet Distress Watercolor Pencils and a Detailer Water Brush. Once the panel was dry, I applied a light coat of Distress Collage Medium to each leaf using a small brush and dusted with Distress Rock Candy Glitter.
I stamped the snowman and sentiment from Season of Wonder, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, on to Distress Watercolor card, sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set. I coloured using the same Distress Watercolor Pencils and Spiced Marmalade for the nose and die-cut using the co-ordinating dies.I fussy cut an aperture from the panel using my trusty Tim Holtz Recoil Mini Snips, fixed the snowman in place with Pawsitivelty Perfect Craft Glue and added the die-cut sentiment popped up on 3D Foam Squares to add dimension.I added splatters of Distress Resist Spray to the panel, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and heat set. I matted the panel on to Distress Black HeavyStock trimmed 1/8" larger and fixed to an A2 top folding white card blank. To finish I added a Simon Says Stamp Metallic Silver Cord double bow.
Have fun with whatever you are making.
Hugs Kath xxx
