Buddy's Real Candy

CANDY IS NOW CLOSED
Howdy folks....it's your handsome bundle of golden deliciousness here...just thought I would scoot on and give you all a few doggy observations...it's bound to more interesting than the usual crafty stuff.   The Cubbyhole Queen has gone off to have a shower and I have the feeling she is off gallivanting today... crossing all my paws that she is not on her way to that shop in Alford again....there is definitely no room for any more stuff....to be honest if I had my way....I would have a mega clear out and there would be oodles and oodles of candy to give away.....but I am still in the bad books after the last time.....so need to keep my head under the radar for a little while....but things are getting desperate.....can hardly find a space to rest my weary head.
This may seem a silly question but I don't really get this blog candy thing....I have had a good sniff around the latest offering and to be honest...can't find anything that your well-bred dog would even consider eating...I think you are all being conned big time.....so I have decided to have a little candy all of my own.....THE REAL THING....folks... had a bit of a root around in Mum's Choccie drawer....and I'm sure "she who is always chewing at something" won't miss one or two goodies...chances are poor old Dad will probably get the blame.

I can't quite understand why all you girls go wild about this chocolate thingy.... I am not your average dumb dog.....oh no...while I may appear to be snoozing of an evening in front of the telly.....I am storing lots of useless info at the same time and I've heard it said that chocolate releases the same endorphins as having a bit of hanky panky....well that's news to me.....I once had a malteser and believe me folks...there was definitely no stirring of the loins and the earth certainly didn't move....so I fear it is grossly over-rated....but each to their own....give me a good stick to chew any day.   Mind you I did have a rather traumatic experience with candy.... managed to snaffle one that fell on the floor....oh yes I am quick off the mark when it comes to anything edible...I can go from sleep mode to eating mode in a nano second....but the blighter stuck to my teeth....I chewed and chewed and what a palaver...couldn't budge it all...rather embarrassing actually....Mum had to come to the rescue and it took her age digging in my mouth before my teeth finally let go of the chewy mass...not an experience I wish to repeat.....so you are welcome to the stuff.
Well it looks like I am in for a peaceful laid-back kind of morning....once she goes I will be scooting upstairs for a lazy snooze on the old king size.....it sure is a dog's life here...snoozing....eating and the occasional trot around the block....what more could you ask for?...well maybe a little more doggy space in the cubbyhole and life would be just perfect.
Now if you fancy getting your choppers round this lot of goodies....just leave me a comment here and I will choose one lucky winner on 21st September...let's just see if you prefer real candy or that crafty stuff........so come on folks get your names in the hat....I can see you all drooling from here.
BIG HUGS from your furry crafty friend

Morning folks and what am I up to today.....well to be honest still trying to clear my feet after a mega mega crafting weekend...but I got so much work done so the tidying up of the debris it left behind is a small price to pay......first it was a host of little cards to include with the Christmas Give-Away parcels......which are now on their way to the lucky winners..............
and then on Saturday.......these yummy sheets of gorgeous rubber arrived from Nikky at Polkadoodles....her brand new stamp sets which I'm sure you will be able to purchase very soon and a little pressie from Nikky....this super cute Anya image......wooo.hooo....a girl in a kilt and tam o'shanter.....have to find some time to get this one inked up.
a little sneaky peek of a challenge card with a difference....all
will be revealed at the weekend
and I have been busy busy working on some Word Books and cards for 2 brand new Christmas Word Book downloads to be released in September from the super talented Anice at Funky Hand...wait until you see all the fabulous papers and the gorgeous samples made by all my teamies....believe me..you are going to love this one folks....one to definitely add to your collection.
Well that's it for today folks....one or two little jobs to finish off and then maybe I can get started on my DT stuff for this week......start a new trend and be organised in plenty of time.....well that would be a first and if I get a real spurt on....maybe a challenge card or two.....Hugs Kath xxxxxxx

but I have boxes of them all in different colours

and would you believe this very naughty set of Hero Arts Christmas Sentiment stamps just jumped right into my arms and clung on for dear life.....so how could I put them back on the shelf......

and to make matters even worse.....Jacqui tells me she has lots of the new Christmas Primas coming in next week...better prepare hubby for the bad news...and stock up on the oatmeal.....it's going to be porridge and oatcakes for the rest of the month.

Polkadoodles Challenge...Week 16

Morning folks.....it's Friday already and time for another fab challenge over at Polkadoodles.
The challenge this week is

SPOTS AND STRIPES
and the team brief was to use any of Nikky's fab CD's
well I have been chomping at the bit to use the fabulous Jingle Jangle Christmas CD

and this chubby little dude.....isn't he just the cutest.....reminds me of the robin who comes to our garden every year....gorges himself silly and costs me a fortune every week in birdie nibbles...surprised he is able to get off the ground when the time comes to fly south again....and on the subject of money.....I may be about to blow the monthly budget once again and it's only the first week of September.....and it is all the fault of Jacqui at Simply Create......well could I resist this little announcement....
"I got some fabulous boxes in yesterday and now have the SEI Christmas Mint papers and some of the embellishments to tempt you with they are scrummy and MM Mistletoe will be put out today along with Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly and Earth Love"
so off to jump in the car and hot foot it out to Alford for a little retail therapy of the crafty variety.....the weather is absolutely dismal here and a girl's gotta find some way to brighten up the day.
Spent a lovely morning yesterday with my lovely bloggy bud Debbi..my very first visitor to the new cubbyhole....doesn't time fly when you are blethering about this that and the other.....it was lovely to see her again and hopefully we can get together again soon.
Must dash...some crafty stash awaits......catch up with you all tomorrow for another fabby challenge from Penny Black Saturday.......Hugs Kath xxxxxxxx

Sneaky Peeks and a little secret......

Morning folks....let's cut to the chase and get the little secret out of the way first......and this is just between you and me....I have received quite a few e-mails recently from folks thanking me for commenting on their Penny Black challenge entries and pointing out that I must spent loads of time sat at my computer.....where do I find the time.
Yes I do spend loads of time sat on my bum at the old computer..uploading pics..writing posts and leaving comments (and that can take forever if Mr Blogger is playing games) but it's mostly in the evenings.....I am not a TV girl...so more often than not....if I am not crafting you will find me tapping away at the computer....but I am not alone.....no.... not "The Budster"....he is normally fast asleep on the sofa in front of the telly he is a real   couch potato...takes that off his Dad.....my nightime companions are.......

stashed out of sight beside my desk and how naughty is this.. I have been known to get through a whole bag at a session...and you know the feeling "I am never going to eat another sweet" that only lasts until the next time".....it's not my fault....I am blaming all those fabulous Penny Blackers....so many gorgeous cards to ogle and so many comments to leave.....now you've had a sneaky peek of my little secret
it's time for a sneeky peek of the crafty variety.....
yes just one sneeky peek today......that "diddly squat" feeling is back again.....the weather has been lovely here this week......warm and sunny....so it's been lots of sitting in the garden with a cup of coffee....the theory is it won't last....so best take advantage to top up the Vitamin D levels while I can......that's it for today folks.....off to do a little tidy up....I'm expecting my very first crafty visitor to the new cubbyhole....no there won't be any cutting of ribbons or popping the champagne corks.....probably just coffee and cake....and lots of crafty chat.....catch with you all tomorrow for another challenge at Polkadoodles.
Hugs Kath xxxxxxxx
P.S.   I was right about the weather.....it's looking rather wet......rain of the stair rod variety....oops another wet dog day.

Carol's Sketch Fun #13

Morning folks and yes I managed to get a card done this week for
Carol's Sketch Fun....another fab sketch  from my lovely Funky Hand teamie Carol....and I seem to be on a bit of a challenge card roll at the moment....long may it continue......and no it's not a Christmas card this time....thought you might all be a bit fed up of seeing yet another Christmas card....so instead decided to have a play with some of my fabby new Cling Stamps from Hero Arts.
I  love clear stamps....they are brilliant for storage.. great for positioning and the good quality ones stamp beautifully but I love my good old fashioned stamps made from rubber and these new Cling stamps have that same feeling but using an acrylic block instead of wood....and well done Hero Arts for coming up with such a brilliant idea.....I love them.

Papers: MME....Andrea Victoria
Bloom & Grow 6 x 6 Paper Pad
Hero Arts Cling Stamp....Thank You
Flowers: Hero Arts
and what I really love about this stamp.....you are not tied to the "Thank You" sentiment....if you cut out the frame you could stamp any sentiment behind it....
Well what am I doing today.....hopefully more than I did yesterday....oh dear I am definitely beginning to like these diddly squat days.....they could take over my life and then when would I have time for all the crafty stuff.....so drastic measures are called for.....severe talking to and kick up the rear...... have been duly told off and am now off to walk "The Budster"...a quick dash round the house with the good old Dyson and then back to work.......it's time to get the DT stuff for this week done....so if all goes according to plan....will be back tomorrow with some sneaky peeks....in the meantime have fun whatever you are doing.
Hugs Kath xxxxxxxx
