Simon Says - Food and/or Drink

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
FOOD AND/OR DRINK
I'm a big Coffee Lover and can't start the day without one. I created a card using Spellbinders Nichol Sphor Merry Mug Creations dies, cut from Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe patterned paper included in the June 2025 card kit, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bubble and Splatters Mini Layering Stencils from Sets 3 and 5 and used Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Small Talk Snarky Stickers for the sentiment.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4" and dragged an Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink pad randomly over the panel.
I applied Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Splatters Mini Layering Stencil from Set 3 using a Tiny Blending Brush to create a spilt coffee effect.
I used Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Remnant Rubs from my stash to fill some of the blank areas.
I die-cut Spellbinders Nichol Sphor Merry Mug Creations from Distress Watercolor card and Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe patterned papers, assembled, inked the edges of the mugs with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink and fixed to the panel popped up with Simon Says Thin Foam Squares to create dimension.
I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Watercolor Pencil using a Distress Detailer Brush. I die-cut the large heart from the Merry Mug Creations set from Distress Watercolor card, the small hearts from the coloured card and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I changed my mind about the large heart on the mug so removed it before the adhesive had set. I fixed the red heart to the bottom left corner and added Ranger Glossy Accents to all the hearts. I trimmed Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Small Talk Snarky Stickers to use as the sentiment, sanded the edges and fixed to the mug with Distress Collage Medium.
To tie in with the red hearts, I applied Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink through the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bubbles Mini Layering Stencil using a Tiny Blending Tool. I dragged the Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink pad around the edges of the panel to add a distressed grungy look.
To finish I matted the panel on to Simon Says Lipstick Red cardstock, trimmed 1/8" larger and fixed to an A2 white card blank.

Captured Joy - June 2025 Card Kit.

Hello my friends, I confess I've been playing truant from the cubbyhole, spending lots of time in the garden in this glorious sunshine weather we've been enjoying in the my little corner of the planet but the Simon Says Stamp Captured Joy June 2025 card kit arrived yesterday and I couldn't resist heading indoors for some playtime.

I'm super excited that the kit includes a set of dies to match the Modern Scrapbook 6" x 8" stamp set, which is a first for Simon Says card kits and makes the kit even better value for money. You can check out the contents of this beautiful kit, subscribe if you don't already or purchase individual items from the kit, if you wish HERE.
I created a quick and easy card using the Modern Scrapbook 6" x 8" stamp set, the matching dies and the beautiful papers from Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe 6" x 8" paper pad.
I scored and folded the Neenah Solar White cardstock included in the kit to create an A2 card blank and fixed a 4" x 5.1/4" panel of the Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe paper in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I inked the photo slides imagesand sentiments from the Modern Scrapbook stamp set with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink and stamped on to Distress Mixed Media HeavyStock.
I die-cut the photo slides using the matching dies, die-cut the inner sections from a contrasting pattern paper and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I fussy cut the butterflies from another of the patterned papers using my trusty Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios Mini Recoil Snips.
I fixed the butterflies in place with Distress Collage Medium and added the die-cut sentiment, popped up with the foam strips included in the kit. I inked the washi tape images from the stamp set with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink, stamped on to scraps of Distress Mixed Media HeavyStock, die-cut and fixed to the panel.
To finish I added PinkFresh Studio Gold Glitter Drops.

I'll be back soon to share more makes with this beautiful kit, in the meantime, enjoy your weekend, whatever you have planned and no prizes for guessing what I'll be doing because the good weather is forecast to contine.

Simon Says - Things With Wings

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
THINGS WITH WINGS
I'm looking forward to Summer, the garden bursting into bloom and the return of the busy Bumble Bees collecting pollen from dawn to dusk. I used Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Floristry Sidekick Side Order, Vault Edges Thinlits and Stampers Anonymous Entomology stamp set and matching Sizzix Entomology Framelits to create my card.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", smooshed Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water, dragged the panel through the ink and dried. I tapped the panel into the ink to pick up the remaining droplets. I dragged the Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink pad over the Texture Fade included with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Floristry Sidekick Side Order Thinlits and ran through my die-cutting machine.
I die-cut the flowers and foliage from Vault Floristry Sidekick Side-Order from Distress Watercolor card, placed on my Simon Says Pawsitively Perfect Craft Tacky Mat and coloured with Abandoned Coral, Wild Honey, Frayed Burlap, Evergreen Bough and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide inks using Simon Says Small Blending Brushes.
I fixed the foliage in place with Distress Collage Medium and popped the flowers up with Simon Says Thin Foam Squares to create dimension.
I fixed Tim Holtz/Sizzix Adhesive Sheet to Distress Black HeavyStock and die-cut using the alphabet from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Edges Thinlits.
I stamped the bumble bee from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Entomology on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Nocturne ink, coloured with Distress Oxide inks using a Detailer Waterbrush and die-cut using the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Entomology Framelits die.
I added splatters of Dina Wakley White Gloss Spray, matted the panel on to Distress Black HeavyStock, trimmed 1/8" larger and fixed to an A2 white card blank.

Simon Says - Stencil Fun

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

It's the first challenge of the month when the team feature products from one particular brand/company and this month we are all using fabulous products from Brutus Monroe. You don't have to use their products to join in the challenge but if you have them in your stash, we would love to see how you use them.
We are also welcoming the lovely talented Estelle Palumbo as our Designer In The Spotlight, please pop by her blog, if you haven't visited before, you will be in for a real treat.
The theme for this week is...
STENCIL FUN
I created a trio of cards using Brutus Monroe Spring Splatter 6" x 6" patterned papers and Vellum, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mini Layering Stencils from Sets 10, 39 and 57 and Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Edges, Alphanumeric Tiny Type Upper and Brushstroke Butterflies Thinlits.
I trimmed the Brutus Monroe Spring Splatter patterned papers to create 4" x 5.1/4" panels.
I applied Wild Honey and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide inks through the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Berry Leaves and Sticks Mini Layering Stencils from Set 57 using Tiny Blending Tools.
I applied Distress Grit Paste through the Gradient Dot Mini Layering Stencil from Set 39.
I applied Black Opaque Texture Paste through the Wildflower Mini Layering Stencil from Set 10.
I die-cut strips of Brutus Monroe Vellum using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Edges Thinlits, folded the strips  over the edges of the panels and fixed to the back with double sided tape. I die-cut the Vault Edges letters from Distress Watercolor card and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium. I applied Sizzix Adhesive Sheet to Distress Black heavyStock, die-cut the Alphanumeric Tiny Type Upper Thinlits and fixed to the vellum strips.
I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Brushstroke Butterflies from the Spring Splatter papers, Distress Watercolor card and Distress Black Heavystock, assembled, fixed in place with dots of Distress Collage Medium on the body section only and pulled up the wings to create dimension.
I added Simon Says Black Pawsitively Dazzling Gems, matted the panels on to Distress Black HeavyStock trimmed 1/8" larger and fixed to the top-folding white A2 card blanks.
