Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because
Hello my friends, I confess I've been playing truant from the cubbyhole, spending lots of time in the garden in this glorious sunshine weather we've been enjoying in the my little corner of the planet but the Simon Says Stamp Captured Joy June 2025 card kit arrived yesterday and I couldn't resist heading indoors for some playtime.
I'm super excited that the kit includes a set of dies to match the Modern Scrapbook 6" x 8" stamp set, which is a first for Simon Says card kits and makes the kit even better value for money. You can check out the contents of this beautiful kit, subscribe if you don't already or purchase individual items from the kit, if you wish HERE.I created a quick and easy card using the Modern Scrapbook 6" x 8" stamp set, the matching dies and the beautiful papers from Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe 6" x 8" paper pad.I scored and folded the Neenah Solar White cardstock included in the kit to create an A2 card blank and fixed a 4" x 5.1/4" panel of the Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe paper in place with Distress Collage Medium.I inked the photo slides imagesand sentiments from the Modern Scrapbook stamp set with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink and stamped on to Distress Mixed Media HeavyStock.I die-cut the photo slides using the matching dies, die-cut the inner sections from a contrasting pattern paper and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.I fussy cut the butterflies from another of the patterned papers using my trusty Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios Mini Recoil Snips.I fixed the butterflies in place with Distress Collage Medium and added the die-cut sentiment, popped up with the foam strips included in the kit. I inked the washi tape images from the stamp set with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink, stamped on to scraps of Distress Mixed Media HeavyStock, die-cut and fixed to the panel.
