What's On Our Workdesk Wednesday

A very good morning to all my lovely bloggy buds...yes it's your gorgeous bundle of golden deliciousness...I've been commandeered at the last minute to step up to the plate...my crafty Old Mum is a tad busy right now but  I'm not sure that we qualify to join in the fun this week over at Julia's place aka WOYWW because the workdesk is empty...all tidied up last night ready for a bright and early start this morning for another crafty ticking off the list day. And there's hangs a tale...the cubbyhole is in chaos...my Old Mum sent the first cuppa of the day crashing to the cubbyhole floor...luckily I was out of the firing line but the carpet didn't fare so well. And would you be surprised if I told you that one of us is stomping about like a bear with a sore head and there are lots of bad words flying around and the other half ain't exactly over the moon about this shampooing boy making an appearance either...

If you think Mr Dyson is a bit loud...he has nothing on this noisy beggar who must have been right at the front of the queue when the decibels were handed out....I'm off to find some ear defenders or big wads of cotton wool might do the trick...whatever I'm out of here.  Just so you don't miss out on something crafty today...one teeny tiny sneaky peek...
Hopefully by tomorrow normal service will be resumed...

  5. Hope the day gets better, I thought you banned coffee in the cubby hole after the last mishap, at least it was only the carpet this time and not Mum's precious work.

Enjoy your walk, that wind should keep Mum awake today.

  14. Poor Buddy.... hope your ears are OK and you found the cotton wool.. I would say there has to be some in the bathroom somewhere.. Am sure after mum has had another cuppa things will be back to normal.. and the day will get lots better.. I would make sure the ban on drinks in the cubbyhole stands... stop mum coming in with drinks and all the bad words will disappear

  17. Ih Buddy - I'll let you into a little secret: when those humans get a bit stressed they are very prone to knocking things & having little mishaps...........I suppose there is one consolation: all that noise from the machine will drown out all those bad words. Why don't you go & chase some rabbits & just let Grumpy get on with it.
PS - give my love to Mum.

  18. PS - Buddy: the Helipad is standing by but I've not said anything to my husband so you might have to do some explaining if your Mum resorts to drastic measures.

  19. Good morning Kath, I sympathise with your cuppa mishap, as I've done this with tea, totally contravenes the relaxing morning cuppa. Laura

  20. Hello Buddy, how are you? It has been a long while since i have visited the blog due to my broken bone. So have been catching up today. Wow! mum is super busy as always. And well done, mum will be proud you making the post for her.

  21. Oh dear - what a horrid start to the day! I once spilled a whole pot of fine glitter - that was turing up everywhere for weeks! Our dog Lily was very sparkly! No amount of mopping or vacuuming seemed to find it all. I'd be ok with liquid though - lino floor! Hope the afternoon is especially nice to make up for it!

  22. Oh Buddy you can always make us smile, mum isn't happy with all that tea (or) coffee on the floor! Better stay out of the way - hopefully the day will get better! Thank you for your nice report on the goings on in the cubbyhole!
    Lots of hugs

  23. Cups of tea and crafting! Disaster waiting to happen. My craftroom has an iron mark on the carpet which appeared when it was new and in a former life as a bedroom. Would like a new carpet but that also neccessitates a he-man to move all the crafty stash /shelves etc etc. BTW before you ask the mark was made by DH when he was ironing! Hugs Betty

  24. You're in good company Buddy, my darling says the Dyson is an abomination of noise! As for the cup of tea - is there any consolation in the fact that it went over the floor and not all over a bunch of readied kits and samples?!

  25. Good to see you Buddy - hope the carpet is fine and your ears recover soon, give Mum a hug and she'll be fine!

  26. Oooh hope your ears recover soon - I am sure the carpet will be fine when Mr Dyson has finished!

  27. Sending hugs all round, sounds like we are both hoping for a better day tomorrow. Maybe I should get me a dog then I could write less grumpy more entertaining posts! Oh yes once we stop renting....

  28. How thoughtful of you to pick up the slack, Buddy. Your partner in the cubbyhole may have to look into the cups with lids. They are not as cute as her KitKat one that I have seen in pics, but they sure save lots of time cleaning up messes, not to mention spoiled projects.

  29. Poor Buddy, you're not having a good day are you but then again I don't suppose poor Mum is either. Hope things improved for you both!

  34. Oh dear, Buddy, I can't believe how long it has taken me to get to you this week - and you looking your best too. By now the disaster will have been well dealt with and that nasty noisy machine will be consigned to it's cupboard again. Hope your weekend cheers you up. Elizabeth x #50
