Morning folks..wow hasn't the weather been fabulous...it's great to feel the sun on your face instead of wind and driving rain...Spring is on the way and apart from the fact that a host of garden jobs have now jumped on to the never ending list of things to do...I'm feeling good. I've got a quick and simple card to share...that's about the only kind I have time to do at the moment...so three cheers for Clean And Simple and the challenge this week over at
Less Is More...
ONE LAYER CARD
SCRIPT
normally I would stamp the flower...overstamp the script onto the petals before cutting out the flower head and pop it onto foam pads to give a bit of dimension but as this is a one-layer challenge...I had to use a little bit of crafty trickery to stick to the rules. I stamped the flower on scrap paper...cut it out rather badly and used what was left as a mask and to create the dimension...edged around the petals with a blue Promarker...softening it with a Blender Pen
ever onward with the crafty list...I'll see you all tomorrow over at

ReplyDeleteScript on flower petals seems a little incongruous, but I LOVE it. I don't know why that should be, but I find it SO satisfying.
ReplyDeleteThis looks fab Kath and it's a great sentiment to boot.
Thanks so much

ReplyDeleteThanks for explaining - as I caught sight of it I wondered how you got the script into those petals so beautifully. I'll have to remember that trick. I love this stamp but have yet to ink it - still trying to get ahead with my Alphatags.
