Penny Black Saturday April Challenge...

Hi folks...the first Saturday of a brand new month and time to join in the fun over at Penny Black Saturday. The April challenge is a sketch from my lovely teamie Beth...a simple sketch so what could possibly go wrong...well everything and it's a 2 for the price of one from me this month...obviously I didn't have my brain plugged in or I definitely need to pay a visit to the optician...what on earth was I thinking...Card No 1 bears no resemblance whatsoever to the sketch...another of my "off in my own little world" moments...
and what's worse...my bigga mistake-a didn't hit home until I uploaded it here and saw it next to the sketch...oops...a dash back to the drawing board required for another attempt...


as always there are fabulous prizes to win...very kindly donated by our very generous sponsors and gorgeous inspiration from my fellow teamies so it's time for you to look out your Penny Blacks and get inking.
I'm almost ready to set off to The Papeterie for a fun crafty day with all those lovely folks who are coming to the weekend Retreat but I'll see you all tomorrow for a "I've been playing with the Fiskars Fuse again" card.

    Well I for one am glad you did two because they are both absolutely stunning cards! I love how you created the borders on both cards and that 'cheerful' flower stamp is gorgeous. Hope you have a fun day today! Hugs, Anne x

    I rather like your first attempt & would have applied a little 'artistic licence' to allow for the slight variation between it & the sketch. Anyhow, looks like our redeemed the whole situation rather effectively.
    Hope all goes well with the workshops.
