STICK IT
is a micro thin sheet of adhesive specially formulated for intricate die cutting and can also be used with electronic cutting machines...it creates a uniform layer of adhesive making it so easy to stick down those fiddly die cuts
There's nothing more annoying than buying a beautiful intricate die which cuts perfectly but is then a nightmare to fix to your project... you spend ages applying minute dots of glue requiring the precision of a brain surgeon and no matter how careful you are...you end up either missing a few bits or there's a bit of seepage...been there done it and got the T-shirt and inevitably these dies are consigned to the "can't be bothered using" pile which is a great shame.
So I looked out some of the fiddliest dies in the cubbyhole stash and couldn't believe how easy Stick It is to use...it's definitely going to be the new must-have...sure to be a change your life product for all lovers of die cutting...
but would it work on the nightmare skinny branch twiggy tree...well the proof is there for all to see...STICK IT definitely does what it says on the tin...one firmly stuck down "not going anywhere" bad boy die cut tree...
and perfect for sticking down the fiddly bits from Tim's Halloween Shadows...
if you apply Stick It to both sides of your paper before die cutting...you too can have Distress Glittery Trick and Treaters and you'll probably have worked out by now that I'm sold on this product...it's definitely got 10 out of 10 from the cubbyhole crew and the answer to the question "could I live without it"...well that would be a BIG FAT NO but why don't you try it out for yourselves...pop over and put some in your shopping basket...there's a choice of...
a pack of 5 - 8" x 12.1/4" large sheets
or
a handy pack of 5 - 8" x 6.1/8" sheets
or
a handy pack of 5 - 8" x 6.1/8" sheets
I'll be back tomorrow to share the last of Saturday's workshop projects from The Retreat at The Papeterie...in the meantime I've got a fun day ahead...a hot date with a pile of corrugated cardboard.
Edited to add: woohoo David has just e-mailed to say he is sending me some packs of Stick It to give-away... so watch this space folks.
Hugs Kath xxx
That's a product that makes you say "why did it take so long to invent" Or "I wish I had invented that!" I don't think it is available in the US yet ...
ReplyDeletelooks like good stuff!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant product..it's on my wish list. Enjoy your corrugated card Kath! x
ReplyDeleteOhhh, definitely sounds like a must-have! Thanks for the heads-up Kath! x
ReplyDeleteHi Kath, handy stuff, especially at this time of year. Love your Halloween card, great colours... Trish
ReplyDeleteGood to see your review as I wondered what is was like. i definitely need some. I read the first bit about who invented it as your hubby, not buddy!
ReplyDeleteThat does sound like a very good product, Kath. I look forward to seeing what you do with the corrugated cardboard - I recently discovered this as an awesome art material - such humble stuff yet with so much potential, when you peel off the top layer!!

Oooo this is a definite must have for my cupboard!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kath, stick it sound brilliant, but can you tell me if you have used it on Tattered Lace dies, as they are really lacey, and as I am on their DT I spend ages glue as you would image so this would be wonderful

Hey Kath...thank you, I knew you'd love it...I know it's not the first time you've told someone to Stick It... Thank you for the awesome review...your projects are amazing! Ken <3
ReplyDeleteHi Kath me again, just to let you know I have ordered some, thought it was too good to miss giving it a try.

Hi Kath, are you and Buddy O.K.? I just got home from being at my daughter's a couple of days and was worried when I didn't see your post for Thursday or Friday.
ReplyDeleteI love your Halloween card . I had never heard of Stick It. Everything you create is just beautiful .
i sit here with tons of card making supplies ,thanks to Archiver's,and have probably only made a handful of cards over the time I collected. Miss Archiver's a lot,I would go there just to talk to the girls. Always came home with new stamps, etc.
There's something wrong with this site. My post says 10-2-14 6:49 !! it's actually 10-3-12:55 here in Houston, Texas.
ReplyDeleteHope you and Buddy are having a good day.
Oooh think I really will NEED some of this too Kath!!! Brilliant review ;) xxx
ReplyDeleteFab Halloween card - that product looks really good - I don't have many fiddly dies but the couple that I do have I rarely use because they are a right PITA to get them to stick down
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great review. Your cards look great. Can't wait to try this new product.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review Kath, just ordered some for my own "cubby hole". I check your blog every morning and it always cheers my day.x
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful Kath. Can I ask a question...is it likely to make the blade sticky in an electric cutting machine?
ReplyDeleteToni xx
That sounds like essential stuff, the old Xyron makes everything sticky and intricate die cuts break getting them off the sheet, so I hope I can get my mitts on some of this!

This is a brilliant idea, especially for those days when you end up with more glue on your fingers than the actual die-cut! Love your Halloween card too, the background colours are fab.
ReplyDeleteRebecca.
It's Di again Kath! Thank you so much for your visit - and of course, now I remember who I first saw using this fabby product on their blog :) Really should have known!
