if you've been following my blog for a while...you'll know that watercolouring and cutie images are way out of my comfort zone but hey ho...nothing ventured...nothing gained...if it all goes pear-shaped and ends up in the bin...well who's ever going to know.
But it turned out better than I thought and was less of a challenge than getting a half decent photograph in this lack of daylight weather...so let me introduce you to Stan...isn't he adorable
I stamped the sun image with the gorgeous Duckling Ink Pad from Simon Says Stamp and also coloured strips of card with the same colour using the direct to paper technique...stamped the sun image for a tone on tone effect and the hashtag and sentiment in Black Archival. Then I stamped Stan and the ice cream cones with Black Archival Ink on to Ranger Watercolour Card and coloured with the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolour Set...
Fingers crossed the weather takes the hint and just like Stan I'll be tucking into an ice cream cone...strawberry...mint or chocolate chip...well a girl can dream...can't she.

I don't think you need to worry about your watercolouring Kath, these images are super cute - I love the gorgeous yellow on the suns! Hubby loves flamingos - love the one in the set, may just have to invest.... you are such an enabler! Dull and grey here too.... Hugs, Anne xx
