Simon Says Stamp...A Trio of Something

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's challenge...we hope you can join us this week too because...

We are welcoming the lovely and super talented Paula Roomer aka PaNaRoo into the Designer Spotlight. Paula is very new to blogging and I am sure she would love to see some people pop by her blog to leave some love and to become a follower too. Lets all give this talented designer a real big Simon boost!
and the theme for this week is...
A TRIO OF SOMETHING
this week the Design Team are showcasing products from the fabulous Dyan Revealey, you don't have to use them to join in the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see what you make with them.
I needed no excuse to have some fun with my Dylusions Small Creative Journal creating a page with a trio of words from one of my favourite Dylusions stamp sets...Word Love.

I had a notion in my head that I wanted the page background to be PINK but not quite as in your face PINK as Bubblegum Pink, so I mixed it with London Blue and started rather gingerly, using my brayer to create a patchy effect, adding White Linen to the mix to soften it all down.
I added Dylusions Creative Dyary Stickers and applied Dylusions Fresh Lime and Black Marble paints through the Number Jumble stencil using a mini round blending tool. I know the green stencilling looks a bit lost on the background but bear with me...I had a plan and fingers crossed...all will be well.
I stamped the leaf and circle images from Dylusions Clearly Borders stamp set on to Tim Holtz Plain Collage Paper with Ranger Letter-It Black Archival ink, flipped the paper over in my Stamp Platform and painted the reverse of the images with Fresh Lime and White Linen Dylusions paints.
I trimmed round the images and fixed them in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte. I didn't like the positioning off that one on the right but managed to quickly remove it before the Collage Medium had dried and added a few more Dylusions Creative Dyary Stickers.
Time to add some detail and shading using Ranger Black Fude Ball and Sakura White Gelly Roll Pens. Now I'm happy with how those green stencilled numbers pop right off the page.
I used the Ranger Black Fude pen to create a border around the page, painted it in with Dylusions Black Marble and added white dots...
I stamped the words from Word Love on to plain collage paper with Ranger Letter-It Black Archival, cut them out and fixed to the page with my go-to-everytime ahesive, Distress Collage Medium Matte
and added white accents with the Sakura Gelly Roll Pen

and to finish off the background I used circles and dots from Simon Says Stamp Lots of Dots stamp set, applying the White Linen and Black Marble Dylusions paints to the stamps with a mini round blending tool and foam.

You can find all the products I used over at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp online store...just click on the links below...
