AALL&Create - Flourish

Hi folks, it's Tuesday and that means it's time to share this week's project for AALL&Create. There are so many fabulous stamps and stencils in the new release but the Flourish Stamp #164 designed by the lovely and very talented Tracy Evans is definitely a favourite. I'm really looking forward to Spring proper arriving and spending time in the garden. This image reminds me of the plants that scramble up the trellis and are a riot of colour come Summer. You can check out all the products I used along with a list of worldwide stockists HERE.

I started off by adding small amounts of PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Paints to my Ranger 9" x 11" Gel Plate
spread it out with a brayer to create a wood effect. I pressed the Broken Circles Stencil #67 into the paint, removed it and lifted a print on to a 5" x 7" panel of Distress Watercolor card which I forgot to photograph.
I cleaned off the plate and brayered Toffee Paint over the Broken Circles Stencil, spritzed with water and pressed randomly on to the panel. Naughty, naughty another missing photograph.
I applied Mermaid mixed with a little Snowflake Fresco Finish Paint through Stencil #49 Rota Vitae using a mini round blending tool and foam pad.
I inked the Flourish stamp with Versafine Onyx Black and stamped centrally on the panel
I applied Ranger Opague Texture Paste through the circles on the Rota Vitae Stencil.
stamped the Flourish flower twice on to scraps of Distress Watercolor Card. I fussy cut the first flower leaving a thin border around the edge and fixed over the original image using Distress Collage Medium Matte. I coloured the flower head on the second image with Smoked Paprika Fresco Finish which is translucent so the detail will still show through the paint.
I fussy cut the small numbered circles, coloured with Smoked Paprika and fixed in place over the original stamping.
I fussy cut the sentiments, edged with Smoked Paprika, fixed in place and added black doodling using a Sakura Micron Pen. I fussy cut the flowerhead leaving a border around the edge and fixed in place with 3D foam to create dimension.
I coloured Idea-ology Crinkle Ribbon with Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled Glass Distress Spray Stain, spritzed with water to lighten, dried with a heat tool
and added a double bow to the panel.
I trimmed the panel down and matted to a 5" x 7" White Card Blank.
Things are not going well in my world at the moment. As if a sore wrist, elbow and heel were not enough to contend with, I've been awake since 3.20am, nose running like a tap and sneezing for Scotland. I have a doctor's appointment today and I suspect that the prescription may feature the word EUTHANASIA, just saying, in case you wonder where I am tomorrow.
Toodle-oo for now
Hugs Kath xxx
