If You Go Down To The Woods Today...

Hi folks, my mojo seems to have been AWOL recently but inspiration can come quite unexpectedly from the strangest places and when a memory popped up on my Facebook News Feed yesterday of my morning strolls to the local woods with my adorable Furry Boy, it reminded me of the Teddy Bears' Picnic song from way back in 1977

If you go down in the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise
If you go down in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise!

It set me thinking, that come nightfall, those same woods would be the perfect place for a Monsters Reunion

No step-by-step tutorial this time, just lots of photos but all the backgrounds were created on Distress Watercolor card using Antique Linen, Rusty Hinge and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide inks.
The images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Monsters Reunion, Life Of The Party and Tiny Toadstools were inked with Black Soot Distress Archival and coloured with the same inks plus Forest Moss using a Distress Detailer Brush. The bats and spiders were die-cut from Black Classic KraftStock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bat Crazy and Frightful Things Thinlits. I sanded the edges of each panel and matted on to an A2 card blank covered with Simon Says Stamp Slate Grey Card.

Be warned, if you are going down to the woods today, you may get more than you bargained for and bump into some spooky characters. Fingers crossed my mojo is back and hasn't just popped in for a flying visit because it's time to get creative with my DT project for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Have a great weekend everyone and I'll see you all on Monday.
Toodle-oo for now
