Simon Says - Artist Trading Cards

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
Artist Trading Cards
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art measuring 2.5" x 3.5"
that are traded around the world.
I have to confess there was a huge intake of breath followed by a major panic moment when I saw this week's challenge because the thought of working on such a small area scares the living daylights out of me but a challenge is a challenge and Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Label Frames and Tiny Toadstools were perfect to create these miniature pieces although old habits die hard and I used them to decorate a trio of notecards.
I inked Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Label Frames with Vintage Photo Distress Archival and images from Tiny Toadstools with Ground Espresso Distress Archival and stamped on to Distress Watercolor Card
I smooshed Antique Linen, Broken China and Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide inks on to my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and used to colour the backgrounds and the images. I tapped the script and splatter stamps from Tiny Toadstools directly into the inks and stamped on the background.
I fussy cut the Label frames, fixed to Kraft Card, trimmed to leave a small border and added the Specimens circles on Tim Holtz/Sizzix 3D Foam Adhesive to add dimension.
To create the panels for the notecards, I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to measure 4" x 5.1/4", smooshed Broken China and Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide inks on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water, pulled the panels through the ink, dried and tapped them back in to pick up the droplets.
I die-cut the panels using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mixed Media Thinlits, fixed the panels to Kraft Card and pieced some of the waste pieces back in. I applied Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide ink through the Grime Mini Layering Stencil from Set 43 and stamped the script and splatters images with Black Soot and Ground Espresso Distress Archival inks.
I mixed Ranger Perfect Pearls Confetti White with water and added splatters on the background. I repeated with Antiqued Bronze Distress Mica Spray

I added Idea-ology Design Tape and fixed the ATC's in place with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive
