Hello Spring...Take 2

Hi my friends, I'm sharing another Hello Spring card using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Spring Shadows to create a watercolour floral background and Tiny Text stamping in the aperture, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Funky Wreaths and Feathered Friends Thinlits available to purchase now and another favourite alphabet set, Alphanumeric 1" Thinlits.

I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card to create a 4.1/2" x 6.1/2" panel. I inked the floral images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Spring Shadows with Wild Honey and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide inks, spritzed the stamps with water and stamped randomly over the background. I inked the leaf images with Peacock Feathers and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks and stamped without spritzing with water to fill in the blank areas.
I stamped the splatter image from the stamp set inked with Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink.
I coloured 2 panels of Distress Watercolor card using Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive Distress Oxide sprays.
I die-cut the stamped panel using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Funky Wreaths, die-cut the wreath from the coloured panel twice and again from a scrap of Distress Watercolor card and stamped the centre section of the die-cut with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Tiny Text inked with Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink. I fixed the panel to a piece of white card and replaced the white stamped die-cut into the negative space. I layered up all the wreath die-cuts and added the extra die-cut leaf sections.
I die-cut the bird from Idea-ology BlackOut KraftStock, Distress Watercolor card coloured with Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink and the green coloured panel using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Feathered Friends Thinlits. I assembled the die-cut pieces using Distress Collage Medium Matte and fixed to the wreath using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive. I stamped the sentiment from Spring Shadows on to a scrap of the Wild Honey coloured card, trimmed and fixed to the panel using twine and Mini Foam Adhesive. I die-cut the small flowers from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Funky Floral 1 Thinlits and added purple gems from my stash.
I used a Tim Holtz/Sizzix Sticky Grid Sheet to position the Alphanumeric 1" Thinlits on the panel but silly me, forgot that I was die-cutting through 2 layers of cardstock and it only die-cut the top panel. So I die-cut the letters again from Distress Watercolor card and popped them back into the negative space.
And I can't decide if the letters "S" is upside down or not but hey ho, the whole world is topsy turfy at the moment so it's not a big deal.
I finished by matting the panel on to purple Classic Kraftstock sanded back to reveal the kraft core and matted on to a 5" x 7" white card blank.
Toodle-oo for now
Hugs Kath xxx
