Making My Day Brighter

Hi my friends, I've definitely been in need of something to brighten my day with the unpredictable weather we're having at the moment, brilliant sunshine one minute and chucking it down with rain the next which has meant the fence painting has been a bit hit and miss. Time to cut my losses and head to the cubbyhole to use up some of the backgrounds I created inspired by Tim Holtz Facebook Live Alcohol Ink Q+A Demo.

I don't have a photo of the background before it was decorated but it was created on a 3.1/2" x 5" panel of Tim Holtz White Yupo. I spritzed the panel with Isopropyl (rubbing Alcohol) added drops of Moss and Vineyard Alcohol Inks and moved the colour around with the Distress Air Blower to create a very soft wispy background. I added torn strips of Halloween Collage Paper fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium. I stamped the image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Faded Type inked with Peeled Paint Distress Archival, sprinkled with Peeled Paint Distress Embossing Glaze and heat set.
I stamped the butterfly image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Flutter inked with Black Soot Distress Archival.
I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink and die-cut the sentiment using Simon Says Stamp Script Thanks.
I inked the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Big Thanks Words with Versamark Ink, stamped on to a scrap of Black Cardstock and heat set with Ranger Superfine White Embossingh Powder.
I die-cut using Simon Says Stamp Nested Banners die, creating the perfect sentiment strip.
I added splatters of White Gesso, matted on to Idea-ology BlackOut KraftStock trimmed to 4.1/4" x 5.3/4" and fixed to a 4.1/2" x 6" White card blank

Have fun whatever you are creating
Hugs Kath xxx
