Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
WILD WITH WASHI
Go Wild With Washi, they said and having been an avid collector for years of Tim Holtz Design Tape, I have more than enough to go wild with.  I made a trio of cards using Prize Ribbon Distress Ink and Distress Oxide ink and Crackling Campfire Distress Ink to colour watercolour card backgrounds, added strips of Design Tape, Idea-ology Layers Engraving, coloured with Distress Crayons and Sentiments Label Stickers.

I began by smooshing the 3 ink pads on to the craft mat on my glass media mat, spritzed with water and laid the panels into the ink and dried. I then tapped the panels into the inks to pick up the remaining droplets.
I had a root around in my collection of Tim Holtz Ideaology Design Tape, yes there is a lot and this is only the bottom layer but in my defence I've been collecting from way back in the day and there is such a lot on each roll, my story and I'm sticking to it.
I added the strips of Design Tape using my T Square Ruler to make sure they were straight on the panels.
I selected 3 of the gentlemen images from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Layers Engraving, tapped the Versamark ink pad over each image, sprinkled with Ranger Antiquities Frosted Crystal Embossing Powder and heat set until melted. Tim's Squeezers from the Sizzix Shaping Kit are just the job to hold the images at arm's length out of the way of the "gets very hot" embossing gun.
The Layers Engraving are printed on a coated paper which makes colouring difficult but the Frosted Crystal Embossing Powder gives tooth to the surface and allows you to colour with Distress Crayons. I used Crackling Campfire for the jackets, Chipped Sapphire (as we don't have a Prize Ribbon Distress Crayon yet) Vintage Photo for the hair and moustaches and Antique Linen  for the skin, all applied using a Distress Detailer Brush.
I fixed the Layers Engraving in place using foam adhesive and added Idea-ology Sentiments Label Stickers.
I trimmed the panels to 4" x 5.1/4" and fixed to A2 white card blanks covered with grey/blue card from Sizzix Neutral Cardstock pack.
