Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
LAZY DAYS OF SUMMER
I created a card inspired by my garden using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Perspective Moth and Alphanumeric Varsity Thinlits from the Chapter 3 release

I began by trimming Distress Media HeavyStock to 4.3/4" x 6.3/4" and sprayed with Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Kitsch Flamingo and Evergreen Bough Distress Spray Stains. I spritzed Evergreen Bough Distress Spray Stain on the back of the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Latticework Layering Stencil and used to create a random monoprint on the background, applied Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink through the Dotted Line Layering Stencil and finished by applying Distress Crackle Texture Paste through the Flourish Layering Stencil.

I added torn strips of Idea-ology Entomology Collage Paper using Distress Collage Medium
I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Perspective Moth from Distress Watercolor card and fixed to the background with Distress Collage Medium. I die-cut the moth again twice from Simon Says Vellum and Distress Watercolor card. I added Distress Embossing ink using the Distress Embossing Dabber to the body section of the remaining Distress Watercolor card die-cut, sprinkled with Stampendous Frantage Aged Black Embossing Enamel and heat set. I sprinkled the same embossing powder over the wings and background, heat set from underneath and fixed the moth to the background with Distress Collage Medium, adding adhesive only to the body and wings on the right hand side.

I applied Sizzix Adhesive Sheet to scraps of Distress Watercolor and black Idea-ology Classic KraftStock and die-cut using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Varsity
and Alphanumeric Label Thinlits

and finished by matting the panel on to a 5" x 7" white card blank
