Simon Says - Something New

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Happy New Year everyone, I hope you all have a happy, healthy and creative 2022. Thank you for joining us for the Party last challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

As it's the first Monday of the month, we are showcasing one brand/company and this month we are all using fabulous products from Carabelle Studios. You don't have to use them to join in the challenge but if you have them, we would love to see  how you use them.

SOMETHING NEW

I made a set of Happy 2022 cards using Distress Oxide inks with my Ranger Gel Printing Plate, Carabelle Studios Postcard Texture Plate, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Inventor 1 and Great Outdoors stamp sets, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Varsity and Swirling Stars Thinlits and Simon Says Happy die for the sentiment.

I began by smooshing Dusty Concord, Evergreen Bough and a little Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks on to my Ranger 9" x 11" Gel Printing Plate, spritzed with water and laid a sheet of Distress Watercolor card on top to create a print. I used a brayer to add White Gesso to the Carabelle Studios Postcard Texture Plate and stamped on to the Gel Plate. I laid the Distress Watercolor card on top to transfer the image and repeated to cover the whole panel.

I trimmed the Distress Watercolor card to make 4 panels, applied Black Gesso to the Postcard Texture Plate and tapped the panels on to the image to transfer randomly.

I stamped the clock image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Inventor 1 inked with Versamark ink on each panel, sprinkled with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder and heat set.

I did the same with the Sparkles stamp from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Great Outdoors and heat set with Hero Arts Gold Glitter Embossing Powder.

I tapped Versamark ink over a scrap of Simon Says Black cardstock, heat embossed with the Gold Glitter Embossing Powder and die cut "22" from black and the glitter card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Varsity Thinlits.

I die cut stars from the left over glitter card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Swirling Stars Thinlits and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.

I die-cut the word Happy from black card using Simon Says Happy die and to finish trimmed the panels to 4" x 5.1/4" and matted on to A2 white card blanks covered with black cardstock.
