Simon Says - Add Texture

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
ADD TEXTURE
I created a notebook cover using Tim Holtz Idea-ology Mini File Folder, Backdrops 1 Paper, Pocket Cards, Flashcards, Paper Doll Portraits and Curator Ephemera Snippets and added texture using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Latticework Mini Layering Stencil from Set 4 with Distress Crackle Texture Paste and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Embossing Glaze.
I covered an Idea-ology Mini File Folder with papers from the Backdrops 1 pack using Distress Collage Medium, trimmed to fit and sanded the edges to neaten and remove any excess paper. I used the small Distress Brayer to apply a light coat of White Gesso and created a collage using a Pocket Card, Flashcard and Curator Ephemera Snippets, all fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium. I applied Distress Collage Medium over the whole file folder and added shadowing around the collage elements using Walnut Stain Distress Crayon.
I rubbed Distress Crackle Paste Translucent over the Flashcard and Ephemera Snippets with my finger
I applied Distress Texture Paste Crackle through the Latticework Mini Layering Stencil from Set 4 using a palette knife and sprinkled with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Embossing Glaze, while the paste was still wet and set aside to dry.
I tapped the Distress Embossing Dabber over the Idea-ology Portrait Paper Doll, sprinkled with Distress Frosted Crystal, heat set and coloured with Distress Crayons using a Distress Detailer Brush.
I heat set the Embossing Glaze on the Distress Texture Paste and added Walnut Stain Distress Crayon using a Distress Blending Brush to accentuate the crackle on the Texture Paste and the Flashcard. I added torn sections of Idea-ology Entomology Collage Paper, Design Tape Trim on the edge of the folder, a strip of lace from my stash, Eccentric Remnant Rubs and fixed the Portrait Paper Doll in place with Distress Collage Medium.
To finish I sanded the edges of the Mini File Folder, Flashcard and Ephemera Snippets to reveal the white core.
