Tag You're It Challenge - Week 32

Morning Taggers.....the challenge this week on Tag You're It has been chosen by my lovely DT mate....DAWN and the theme is

TIC..TOC

anything to do with time...clocks...watches....interpret the theme as you wish...and let's face it folks us crafters know all about TIME or lack of it....me I am always at the last minute and skidding in with my DT work at the eleventh hour. Dawn is giving away a fabulous prize this week for one lucky winner who will be chosen at random next Friday.....so you gotta be in it to win it.....get creating those fabulous tags and come share them with us all.

Here is my tag for the challenge and I must write myself a little reminder...do not use anything gold and shiny in the future...it's an absolute nightmare to photograph......you wouldn't believe how many pics I have taken of this little tag.....and from every angle imaginable to try and cut out the glare....and this I am ashamed to say was the best of the bunch.

Sneeky Peeks

Morning everyone....another dark and dreich day....I am fed up of this weather...can't get decent pics at all and as for Mr Blogger.....he is driving me mad...is it just me he is picking on or is he being awkward with everybody...you wouldn't believe how long it took me to upload these little tiny pics...and why doesn't your post appear on your blog...as it appears on preview......can't fathom that one out...well not to worry they're here now.
The production line is running bang on schedule and I managed to get my DT stuff done yesterday afternoon...and my 2Sketches card.....so here are a couple of sneeky peeks.....

2 Sketches 4 You Sketch Challenge

Time for another sketch on 2 Sketches 4 You and this week it's from Laura and although I am snowed under with commission cards..I just can't miss this challenge....I am so addicted. This is the first week of the new Winter Design Team and what a team.....fabulous cards...I think we are going to be in for a real treat of the over the coming months.

I decided to flip the sketch and I'm afraid after making so many Christmas cards....my inspiration has kinda got up and left....hopefully to return sometime in the future and I just couldn't get a good pic of this card....I hate this time of year....dark and dismal days with low quality light...roll on proper winter days...at least when there is snow on the ground....the light is better.

Kind of You to Think Of Me

Again I find myself apologising....a number of bloggy buddies over the last week have either tagged me or given me an award and I've been so busy.....no excuse I know - legs needs a serious slap......but of course.... now I have forgotten who they were..me thinks the old memory is definitely going ...so if I have missed you out I am sorry....and I really do appreciate you thinking of me....

De-stressed and Ready to Play

Another manic morning of production....20 odd Baubles cards to make.... each card has 9 little berries

each berry has to be punched out, the edge inked...a little white highlight added and then onto a 3D foam pad..the most fiddly job in the world....these are the things you forget when making up samples....the last seven in the batch set out to dry ready to be personalised and let me tell you I am losing the will to live and gone are the nice  french manicured nails for the SECC...yuck check these hands out.....

I am now in major need of de-stressing....so rain jacket on and doggie walking boots and it's off to the forest for an hour of peace and quiet...OK it's drizzling....and the hair will end up all frizzy.....but hey will go great with the grotty nails...

Ready for home....tired, wet but almost de-stressed.....isn't he such a poser...his kennel name is "His Lordship Laurence"...well named me thinks...but one more thing ...pick up a Sub of the Day on the way home....yummy.

Fed, watered and exercised and now ready to play...probably won't get great pics later in the day so you are going to have to wait until tomorrow for the next instalment......See you later....Love Kath xxxx

Here's the Deal

OK here's the deal...if I get my crafty butt in gear this morning and complete X amount of cards........I am going to have a little play this afternoon..need to get my DT stuff done for "Penny Black Saturday" and "Tag You're It" and then maybe......and it's just a maybe....I may have time to get a challenge card done for 2 Sketches4You.....have you been across to see their new "Winter Design Team"....congratulations to all those lucky gals and my favourite favourite cardmaker....the very talented and lovely PEET...I tell you folks if you have never visited her blog....you have been missing out BIG BIG TIME.....I am in awe at every card she makes....such attention to detail...so if you have an hour or two to spare...get over there and browse to your heart's content.
Well this is wasting time...off to take the Budster for his morning stroll and it's raining....blah.....home for a bit of brekkie and crank up the old production line again.

Sorry.....

Now serious apologies are coming your way today....I have been neglecting you all over the last few days...not being a good bloggy buddy at all...just haven't had any spare time to do my usual blog hopping and leaving you all my sprinkling of bloggy love...the Christmas Card orders have now taken over my life big time...I picked up the last orders yesterday morning and wow....they are biggies...I was tempted to ask if they were for next Christmas as well ...so I could be working 24/7 for the next 4 weeks or I may need to draft in some card making helpers.....free bed and board at Chez Kath.....

The production line is in full flow.....the snowboy ain't looking so cute now....I can tell you.

My chances of getting any challenges done this week are virtually nil...but hey you never know...and the concern at the weekend of the lost mojo has gone completely out the window....not going to need it for quite some time......Will try and catch up with you later in the week.....from your frazzled..."who invented christmas cards?"  bloggy buddy...............Love Kath xxxxx

Birthday Boy

A FUN AFTERNOON was had by all at my gorgeous Grandson Brodie's 4th Birthday Party on Saturday.......lots of presents to open...lots of yummy things to eat and a fabulous home made McQueen Chocolate Birthday cake with liquorice wheels.....scrummylicious....

What is it with kids....too many presents to play with at one time....too much excitement for one afternoon but just before we left....you could tell it was all going to end in tears...

Brodie is as bright as a button and is 64 going on 4....and aren't kids priceless ...Brodie and Oliver went trick and treating with Mum for a short time on Halloween .....rang the bell at a neighbour's house and when the lady opened the door Brodie sang his song and then said....CAN WE COME IN!!! One mortified Mum.....

Well I am back on track with the Christmas Card Orders....gave myself a good old talking to yesterday morning...."any more nonsense and it will be a kick up the rear end for you lady"...and guess what ....it worked...got through a mountain of work yesterday ....just need to keep it up.

Loving Owner Wanted for Sugar Nellie Stamp

How sad is this....my gorgeous Sugar Nellie "Soft Creations" stamps that I bought at the SECC are still sitting in their little bag...dumped on the dresser in the kitchen when I unpacked last Sunday evening...uncut....unmounted and probably thinking they are UNLOVED.
Well here is your chance to give one a good and loving home.....
The old CRAFTER'S BLOCK has kicked in big time with me ....I am working all day every day with Christmas stuff and my brain has turned to toffee. And you know...it's not just me.....I think Mr Blogger has infected a lot of us with "Crafty Mojolessness" have we upset him...was it something I said.......on lots of blogs I visit it's the same story... so what's the cure...leave me a comment with your ideas how to get rid of this dreaded disease or just send me some bloggy love and I will pick a name at random next Sunday and send you one of the stamps....I promise to trim and mount it.... and a load of images from the other four.
Draw will close at midnight on Saturday...8th November

Aren't they just adorable but I know that if I mount them.....then the temptation to play will be too great so they will be stashed away with all my other lovely goodies bought recently.......Cosmo Cricket TSV...Bind-It All and gorgeous MME papers from Craftwork Cards.....roll on the New Year when I can get them all out and do what I love....PLAY and GET CREATIVE and have some real ME TIME.

On a happy note....we had a lovely afternoon yesterday at Brodie's 4th Birthday Bash...will be back later with pics..but in the meantime it's back to the ....yes...you've guessed it.....Christmas Cards...

Penny Black Saturday Challenge..Week 21

It's been a week of goodbyes and hellos...... so sad to see the lovely Jovi leaving the team......we're gonna miss you.....sending love and best wishes for the future and enjoy lots of quality time with your family......I will be visiting you often to see your creativity in action and the gorgeous pics you post on your bike rides.

Great response to last week's challenge and such a high standard for the DT call....I didn't envy Tracie having to choose and I know she found it hard. We have a real talented bunch of Penny Black fans visiting us every week and we truly appreciate your entries.....like me lots of you didn't own any PB Halloween stamps but you adapted what you had to fit in with the theme and well and truly rocked the challenge....great work everybody.

(Bonfire Night)

This one was a real challenge for me......the old crafter's block.....take heart all you new papercrafters out there...it happens to the old timers too and I know why they call them challenges.
I ain't a big fan of November 5th.....Bonfire Night......it can be great fun for the children but as with everything is totally spoilt by the few.....my big bugbear is the the fact that people start letting off fireworks weeks in advance and any of you out there that have pets will know the distress and anquish it can cause them...it doesn't seem to bother Buddy too much at the moment but our last Goldie Ben was absolutely terrified and night after night he would cower at my feet or lie on my knee and shake with fear....it was awful to watch. So I decided to theme my card on the fact that a little consideration goes a long way and remember the poor animals out there.....their hearing is much more acute than ours and even I get a fright when some of those bangers go off.
