Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous - Home For Christmas

Hello my friends, I'm sharing the mini cards and envelopes I made for the YouTube Live launch of Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Christmas release, using the images and sentiments from the Home For Christmas stamp set.

I created 3 backgrounds on Distress Watercolor card using Evergreen Bough and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I stamped the pine branches on the backgrounds, inked with Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide ink, sprinkled with Evergreen Bough Distress Embossing Glaze from the new release and heat set. I stamped the main images with Black Soot Distress Archival Ink and coloured with Distress Watercolor Pencils. While the coloured areas were still wet, I sprinkled with Evergreen Bough and Candied Apple Distress Embossing Glazes and heat set to add a little texture. I repeated this process with the sentiments stamped with Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink. I flicked Distress Resist Spray on to the backgrounds, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and heat set to create a snowy effect.
I created 3.1/2" square envelopes from white lightweight card using my Envelope Punch Board. I inked Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Ticking and Grain with Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide ink, spritzed with water and stamped on to the front and back of the envelopes.
I stamped the Home For Christmas image on the front of the envelope, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival and the smallest label from Label Frames, inked with Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink.
To finish I trimmed the card panels to 1/8" smaller than 3.1/4", inked the edges with Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink and matted on to 3.1/4" top folding white card blanks.

Have fun when your Christmas stamps and stencils arrive.

The theme for this week is...
USE PATTERNED PAPER

I trimmed sections of the Stamperia Secret Diary Rice Paper and fixed to A2 panels of Distress Watercolor card using Distress Collage Medium and a small Distress Collage Brush.
I selected floral images from the Rice Paper and fixed to Distress Watercolor card using the same method.
I die-cut 2 slim frames from Distress Watercolor card using Waffle Flower A7 Layers die and spritzed with Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Prize Ribbon Distress Spritz from the new release.
I fixed the frames in place with Distress Collage Medium, fussy cut around the florals and sentiments and fixed in place with 3D foam squares.
I added Tim Holtz Idea-ology Cello Tape Stickers
I added splatters of Vintage Photo and Prize Ribbon Distress Spritz, dragged the Scorched Timber Distress Ink pad around the edges of the panels and love how the ink wicked out slightly on the Rice Paper.
To finish I added black twine bows and matted the panels on to white card blanks.

Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous - Modern Tree Card 3

Hello my friends, I'm back to share the third card in the series I made for the YouTube Live launch of Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Christmas release, using the Modern Tree Mini Layering Stencil from Set 62 with Ranger Ink Distress Texture Paste Opaque Crackle and Picked Raspberry Embossing Glaze.

I trimmed Distress Black HeavyStock to create an A2 panel and spritzed with Picked Raspberry Distress Spritz.
I applied Distress Texture Paste Opaque Crackle through the Modern Tree Mini Layering Stencil, sprinkled lightly with Picked Raspberry Embossing Glaze and set aside to dry.
Once the paste had dried and crackled, I heat set the embossing glaze until melted.
I stamped the sentiment from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Home For Christmas with Simon Says White Pigment Ink, sprinkled with Ranger Fine Detail White Embossing Powder and heat set. I added splatters of Distress Resist Spray, sprinkled with the same embossing powder and heat set to create a snowy effect on the background.
I tied ribbon into a knot and attached across the bottom of the panel.
To finish I fixed white pearls to the crackled circles and matted the panel on to a top folding white card blank.

I'll be back soon to share the last of my makes from the Live, in the meantime, have fun with whatever you are making.

Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous - Modern Tree Card 2

Hello my friends, I'm back to share the 2nd card in the series I made for the YouTube Live launch of Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Christmas release using the Modern Tree Layering Stencil with a fun technique to add diagonal dimensional stripes.

I inked through the Modern Tree Layering Stencil on to masking paper and trimmed out to create the tree shape. I trimmed a panel of Distress Watercolor card to 4.3/4" x 6.3/4" and coloured with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink, (you know the drill by now - the old smooshing and swiping on the craft mat technique). I laid the mask in place and stamped the sentiment from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Home For Christmas repeatedly on the panel, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink.
I fixed Gina K Designs Masking Strips randomly on the panel on the diagonal, varying the spaces between the strips. You could always create your own strips by trimming masking paper.
I laid the stencil on the panel, applied Distress Black Texture Paste, carefully removed the masking strips and applied a fluttering of Ranger Platinum Glitter using the Stampers Anonymous Glitter Duster.
I applied Distress Texture Paste Opaque Crackle through the Tiny Holly Mini Layering Stencil from Set 62 to add just a little something something on the background.
I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink, stamped the sentiment from Home For Christmas with Versafine Onyx Black ink, sprinkled with Ranger Black Superfine Embossing Powder, heat set and die-cut using the 2nd largest circle from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Circles Thinlits.
I added a black and white checked ribbon bow at the top of this funky modern tree.
To finish I matted the panel on to a 5" x 7" white card blank.
I'll be back tomorrow to share the 3rd and last in this stencilling series.

Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous - Modern Tree Card 1

Hello my friends, I'm sharing the first of the series of cards I made for the YouTube Live launch of Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous using the Modern Tree Layering and Mini Layering Stencils from Set 62 and sentiments from Home For Christmas.

I only intended making one card for the Live but you know me, once I fall down the rabbit hole, there's no way I can stop myself.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 6.3/4", laid the Modern Tree Layering Stencil on the card panel and stamped the sentiment from Home For Christmas repeatedly through the stencil, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink.
I smooshed Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink on to the craft mat on my Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios White Studio Mat, spritzed with water, dragged the panel through the ink and dried.
I replaced the stencil and marked the circles using a waterproof black liner pen.
I added shading to the circles using a Picked Raspberry Distress Watercolor Pencil and a Distress Detailer Brush.
I placed the stencil back in place and applied Distress Texture Paste Sparkle through the stencil. Once the paste had dried, I applied Distress Black Texture Paste through the Sparkle Fade Mini Layering Stencil and the star on the Modern Tree Layering Stencil and added a flittering of Distress Platinum Glitter using the Glitter Duster.
I matted the panel on to Distress Black HeavyStock, trimmed to 5" x 7", added Black Enamel Dots and black and white check ribbon tied in a bow. To finish I fixed the panel to a 5" x 7" white card blank.

I'll be back tomorrow to share the 2nd card in the series, in the meantime, have fun with whatever you're making.
