Is it just me?

Is it just me or does anyone else have problems reading the "Word Verification" letters when posting comments...I can sometimes sit for ages just trying to make them out. As it's a special week for me with 5000 hits on my blog please tell me if you too are a sufferer and at the end of the week I will pick someone out at random and send them a little goodie bag. Please tell me it's not just me!!!!!

  1. Hi Kath, no it's not just you. I have found it difficult as past couple of days, putting in the right code but its coming back with a big NO. Sometimes I log out then log back in again, it seems to work but its a right pain in the jack... Hopefully I have no problems posting this one to you now. karen

  2. I have the same problem, and is it me or are they getting more complicated and mixing up the fonts! Mind you, it sounds like we are of a similar age! annie x

  3. No Kath, it's not just you. I'm annoyed as well with blogger's word verification!! They squish the letters up so tight, and swirl it so much, you can't make out if it's a 'j' or an 'l'! Thankfully, the word verification I have now is ok.

  5. Glad that someone has the same difficulties as me at times - we're all in the same boat. Have posted your candy today! Hurray - at last! It should be with you very soon.

  6. Well, this will give you a giggle! I just left your site and visited another to leave a comment and had to enter the word verification letters 8 times! I'm not kidding! I do have conjunctivitis today right enough! My day can only get better!

  7. Hi there, I just found your blog....and am about to go and have a delve when I spotted this. I have been complaining about the word verification all weekend, for some reason google seems to have elongated the letters until they are unreadable, I am tempted to turn mine off - ChrissyX

  9. oh yes thank goodness I was going to put a comment on my blog about this then thought maybe its just me!!! I always wear my glasses but like Cass it can take me up to 5 times.. I have it switched off and just verify the comments myself before posting. Ok I will get off my soapbox now!! Great blog by the way. Sue :o)

  10. Your post and the comments on the post have had me giggling and nodding like a plastic dog sat on the back parcel shelf!

The amount of times I have sat with my eyes screwed up, then maybe doing the one eye thing just to see if its a c or an a... and thats just for a quick example...

To add... has anyone felt smug when they get it right straight away? I have...

  11. Hi Kath,
You are not the only one.
It often takes me 4 or 5 attempts to figure it out. And they are definitely getting longer and longer.
I tried to leave a comment on someone's blog this morning and just gave up in the end.I had just woken up at the time so that probably didn't help!!

  13. Thanks for putting up this post. I never wanted to mention it myself, incase I was only the doughnut who cant make them out. They squidge them up so tight, I find myself millimetres from the laptop, squinting at them. I habve typed out many a comment a few times where it keeps kicking me out. I have even resorted to drastic measures of copying the comment first, so at least if it chucks me out I can paste it again. You have made my day - I am not the only one out there struggling.
Absolutely love the colours on the distressed thank you card, really pretty..

  14. I agree - don't know why they have to make them quite so difficult to read - and so long lately. Still trying to figure out which is the best way to go with monitoring comments.

  16. I am so there Kath with you all. What is with the letters being all over the place, squashed, squiggly, overlapping, and sometimes capitals I thought I also was one who had to redo the verification, it sometimes takes longer than writing the comment!
