What's On My Workdesk Wednesday

Morning folks...for those of you who don't know me personally...friends would tell you or you may have guessed from this diary of my everyday crafty life that I am a "cup half full" kind of a girl...every cloud has a silver lining in my book and POSITIVE is my middle name but even I am struggling to keep up the happy face mode...all because The North East of Scotland seems to be the only place in the UK that hasn't had summer yet...oh yes we've had a quick blink of the sun here and there but nothing to write home about...in fact I think they have decided to dump all the UK's quota of summer rainfall here.
Day 3 of the Holibobs and I'm back in the cubbyhole today trying to fill up that cheery cup again and because it's Wednesday...sharing what's on my workdesk with all my lovely crafty buddies over at Julia's place aka WOYWW and hang onto your galluses folks...with all this free time on my hands I should be able to pop over and visit you this week.
First job of the day whether it's holibobs or not is catch up with e-mails and check out what's happening in bloggyland over a cuppa....
and I'm afraid I've fallen down already on the "NO WORKSHOPS OR CLASSES" for August and September...well it's very hard to resist my two passions...sharing papercrafting ideas with lots of lovely crafters and having a play with the brand new gorgeous Hero Arts from their Joy To You Holiday 2011 Collection...so today I'll be trying to translate all those ideas floating around in my head into cards for a "Hero Arts Christmas" Class at THE PAPETERIE on Saturday 27th August...1.30-3.30pm....give Charlotte a call on 01224 802337 if you want to come and play.
One down....3 or 4 more to go....
And what about that cloud that's hanging over the cubbyhole...does it have a silver lining...of course...with all this rain there will be no need to get the hose out to water the pots or wash the car. Catch up with you all tomorrow when I will be sharing the TH Christmas Configuration Box we made last Saturday...Kath Style...
Hugs Kath xxx

  2. I would gladly trade my excessive heat and drought for a couple of days of cool weather. Anything less than 38 C would be welcome in my world.

Looks like you will be teaching again soon.

  7. You see, that is the danger of WOYWW - it always points up things you need, to buy or to do. I think the workshop diary is a wicked good idea. Love it.

  10. Scotland's not the only place still waiting for summer Kath. We Welsh could do with some of the heat that England are getting. Yesterday we had glorious sunshine......for 1 hour between 4 & 5 pm! LOL! Try not to work to hard, you're supposed to be on holiday!

  23. I think my response to that has to be, hey, stopping hogging all the wet stuff up there, willya? LOL I hate heat and it's been hot and humid here in Hampshire and Wilts (work and home). Wilts by name, Wilts by nature.... Thanks for stopping by!

  27. Hi to both of you, sorry to hear that you're not basking in the same sunshine as we are in the west - strange, as the west coast of Scotland is renowned for it's wet weather! Hope it dries up for you soon so you can enjoy your walkies with galoshes :) It's no bad thing to keep doing the things (workshops, etc.)you love doing, surely. Love that spritzed sky technique too. 28. Everything appears so neat and organized. I just don't have the room for it. I stack and stack just to have space to work. Love the idea of a workshop journal; think I'll start one.

  29. The muggy heat really gets to me Kath so I'd swap places with you today - it's been unbearable! Can't wait to see your HA creations and don't worry I'll still be popping by to keep up to date with the goings on in the cubbyhole - wouldn't miss that for the world! Take care.

  30. Kath-I can feel your pain! We may be half a world away, but no summer here either. To make it worse, the "horrible heatwave" is all our national news...they are mocking us...it is a myth...LOL! Thanks for sharing your desk...-Amanda

  32. Lots of weather woes all over Woyww today but I think yours is the worst - I'd be lost w/o a little sunshine. Good idea to spend your time in workshops and crafting. You can always find a little sunshine there.

  34. Would be nice to have some sunshine wouldn't it. First we had the fog and then it eventually cleared up and was really nice. Then the fog came back and then it rained! Wonderful day. Still just enjoyed the short spell that was nice.

Love your workshop diary. You are organised!

  36. I wish we could take your temp and weather and add mine to it then divide it up. It would be perfect weather then! It has been above 100 deg F every day for the past 6 weeks. I am fried the grass is burned to a yellow crisp and my veggie garden is all but nonexistent right now. Have a great time with your class. Vickie
