Hi folks...woohoo it's Wednesday and it's going to be a play day and of course it's that day of the week when lots of crafty folks meet up at Julia's place to share their
WOYWW crafty spaces so here's what on my workdesk today. I've started out on a new adventure of discovery...something I haven't tried before but inspired by my lovely Hero Arts buddy...
Shari Carroll I'm dipping my toes into the world of art journaling...
a little bit apprehensive if I'm honest...at this moment in time it's not looking too good but hey what's the worst that can happen...it ends up in the bin and I have to start all over again. This crafty business is a bit of a learning curve so I'm not giving up at the first hurdle...oh no I'm off to have some "giving it my best shot" mucky painty fun...see you all tomorrow.
Hugs Kath xxx
Go Kath, variety is the spice of life. Bringing new adventures into crafting is what keeps us intereted. Good luck with your mucky painty day.

I was nervous too before my first time....!! Love the paint on your craft mat, that Beach Hut is such a gorgeous colour, isn't it!! Have a good week. Helen 9
ReplyDeleteHi Kath, glad to hear that you are sticking with it, I bet you will do something totally inspiring! I started recently too and after a couple of hiccups did something that I was actually very pleased with - that doesn't happen too often! Hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteI don't doubt Kath that once you learn to suspend all the rules that you unconciously apply to all other crafts, that the journalling will come very naturally. It's not my thing - I love the idea and the look, but end up feeling that mine is all forced and contrived. Really like the colour you've got mixed up there..be brave and above all of course - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLooks interesting Kath. Can't wait to see the results.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW

The umbrella didn't survive yesterday but we're back in one piece.
Enjoy your messy adventure Kath. I'm sure your journal will be gorgeous and inspiring. Mind your poor Buddy doesn't end up wearing that pretty paint though.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors on your Craft Sheet! Enjoy the process!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kath, good luck with your journal and have fun. Love the colour you have chosen. Hugs x ChrisB

Looks messy kath but just the thing for a play day !
ReplyDeleteI was very nervous when I first started journalling but once you get into it, it can be very liberating. The one piece of advice I can give is to do it for yourself, a journal is a very personal thing so if your happy with what your doing, don't worry if others aren't it's not there concern x Oh and have tons of fun xx
