What's On My Workdesk Wednesday...

Hi folks...the crafty work list is up to date for this week anyway...I've earned a gold star for my household chores efforts yesterday and hey it's Wednesday...time to head over to Julia's place to join in the fun at WOYWW where lots of lovely crafty folks share their crafty spaces and what they're up to and it's hard to believe we've reached Episode 200 of crafty nosiness already...
So what's on my workdesk today...
I was planning a "join in the fun over at "12 Tags of 2013" kind of a day...I had the necessary bits and pieces looked out in anticipation and I had a sneaky feeling that we might be using the fabulous new Distress Paints but shock horror the King of All Things Distress is also using the new Metallics in the range...naughty naughty man...mine are on order and hopefully winging their way across the pond as we speak but until they arrive..I'm going to have to take a tag raincheck and find something else to play with...decisions...decisions...
But first I need to gather the cubbyhole bouncer crew to serve an eviction notice on a very unwelcome visitor who snuck up on me the other day...totally uninvited the dreaded sniffles arrived and I've now got a nose that Rudolph would be proud of...running like a tap one minute and feeling as though it's stuffed with cotton wool the next...we've enlisted the help of Messrs Neurofen and Hot Lemony Drinks but he sure isn't taking the hint...sneezing for Scotland and papercrafting definitely do not sit well together...don't know how many packs of tissues I've gone through so far...it's drastic measures for sure when a nice ultra soft "kind to the nose" toilet roll has joined the essential cubbyhole tools corner...
See you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx

  11. I had this terrible cold a week or so ago but despite streaming at the beginning it did nt last so I hope yours follows the same path. Plenty of hot drinks and rest is the answer.
Shame about the tags, I would just use something else. Must confess I haven't joined in with these this time. No time!
    Thanks for your earlier visit,
    Hugs

  16. LOL to the loo roll. Funny some of our "essential" supplies. I am so hoping I can avoid my usual spring sinus infection this year but fear it is on it's way. Methinks I need a roll for my desk too.

    Happy WOYWW

  23. Tissues on my desk too this week Kath, it seems that everyone is coming down with the lurgies. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
Trust the master himself to have the audacity to use something on his tags that you don’t have yet and how frustrating that you have to wait now to make them. I’m sure you’ve found something else to play with while you wait though.
    Happy Crafting!

  25. Allergies are all the rage here as the oak count is 13,454 what ever that means. The medication cost for it require a bank loan so asking the doctor for something packed in less than the latest gizmo that squirts the correct dosage. The new mettalics will raise your spirits and will arrive soon.

  29. I lost track of the number of boxes of extra soft balm tissues I got through over the last month, plus paracetamol and lots of lemon and honey drinks, together with antihistamines to counteract the catarrh and sinus problems. Mine has lasted a month so far, so I hope you get rid a bit quicker than that. Thank you for your visit and kind comments. Have a good week playing with your new goodies. Keep warm and cosy. xx Maggie #16

  30. Hi Kath, hope you manage to shake off your nasty sniffles before the Retreat weekend.

I've just been catching up with what you've been up to after being without broadband since last weekend. I've been too fed up to do anything except knit or crochet so it's great to see what everyone's been up to!

I was so excited to see your supply of Distress Paints and to see how you used them. Once you get the metallics you'll have to show us -- oh please!!!

I've been fighting allergies so I sympathize with your cold.

  36. It's official; I've adopted better late than never as my personal creed. I hope by now you have banished the sniffles and cleared up some more real estate on your desk. No fun to be sick. Ugh.
I chuckled at your comments about Tim's April tag; quite close to my own sentiments!
See you in a couple of days.
