Tags from Day 1...

Hi folks...I'm having an absolute ball with my homework from Creative Chemistry 102 but the cubbyhole is looking like it's been trashed...Tim's workdesk always look so tidy...does he clear the decks before starting on the next project I wonder unlike yours truly who ends up working on an area the size of a postage stamp...I always mean to tidy up as I go along but my good intentions last about 5 minutes. But no worries...the cubbyhole crew will have a good old spring clean at the end of the week...it's time to share my finished tags from Day 1 and be warned it's a huge photo fest of Tim Holtz fabulousness...

the camera sure didn't like this guy...there's far more contrast between the background and the leaves on the real thing...we're heading for the season of lack of decent daylight with all the challenges that throws up in the photography department...

"Embrace Imperfection" says it all and I have to confess I had no other option with this tag...had quite a few goes with this technique...Tim did say it could be tricky...before I got something I was happy with and I wish you could see the beautiful sheen from the Antiqued Bronze Distress Paint...

But I'm taking a rain check on Day 2's homework...a huge bundle of Craftwork Cards goodies arrived on Saturday...a gorgeous new collection that you are going to absolutely love so I'm off to have a play and get some samples made.
See you all tomorrow when I'll be sharing some Fiskars Christmas makes

  3. I love the distressed look and what you've created in this class. It all looks perfect to me! For me, it's better to try a little distressed and a little grungy....thus I don't achieve the total look that Tim creates; but I enjoy the process and use the supplies I have on hand! Thanks for sharing!

  9. Stunning! I feel really inspired to have a go at some distressed and grungy stuff myself - I just fear that all I'd end up with would be a sludgy mess
