and the theme for this week is...
AT THE MOVIES
the Design Team are showcasing Spellbinders products this week and we would love to see you use your Spellbinders products if you have them
I couldn't resist making a mixed media panel featuring one of my favourite Disney movies...one which I have watched many times with the grandkiddies...any excuse to unleash 101 Crazy Dalmatians...
I started off by applying a coat of Pumice Stone Distress Paint (one of my favourite colours)...stamped with the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Halftone and Rings Stamp Set inked with black Archival and the Pumice Stone Distress Paint and added dots from Simon Says Stamp Lots of Dots stamp set...
I layered up Spellbinders Standard Small Circles dies to create a frame...
stamped lots of dog images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mini Crazy Cats and Dogs and as my dies haven't arrived yet...I set to work fussy cutting them out.
added spots or splotches...coloured some of the ears and all of the noses and eyes with Dylusions Black Paint Pen and layered them on to the circle left over from die cutting the frame...cutting off the excess and fixing behind the frame.
I added Idea-ology Label Letters to spell out "Dalmatians"...created hearts from scraps of coloured card using Spellbinders Scalloped Heart die and added an Idea-ology Flash Card coloured with the Pumice Stone Distress Crayon...
I added Washi tape from my stash...hearts using the Hearts Mini Layering Stencil and Ranger Texture Opague Matt Texture Paste coloured with Candied Apple Distress Re-inker and small hearts using Simon Says Stamp Falling Hearts Stencil and used Idea-ology Numbers Remnant Rubs for the "101".
I finished off by watering down some White Gesso and creating lots of splatters using Ranger's Splatter Brush...very messy but a whole load of fun.

What an absolutely brilliant use of Tim's little doggies! My little one adores this movie, so of course I had to show her your post.
