and the theme for this week is...
POWDER POWER
using Embossing or Pigment Powders
I decorated a canvas panel with PaperArtsy Infusions and Ranger's Super Fine Embossing Powders
PaperArtsy Infusions are little bottles of magic powder that react in wonderful ways when they come into contact with water or any other wet medium and a little goes a long way. I sprinkled "A Bit Jaded" on to the canvas...brushed out with a wet brush...spritzed with water and let them run around until I was happy with the coverage.
Once it was dry I stamped one of my favourite Hero Arts Cling Stamps...an oldie but still a goodie...with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Super Fine White Embossing Powder.I stamped the sentiment from Tim Holtz "Way With Words" stamp set on to Plain Tissue Wrap with Black Archival Ink and heat set with Ranger Super Fine Clear Embossing Powder...
trimmed around the edge...fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte and stamped Ledger Script with Black Archival randomly around the canvas. I stamped Tim Holtz Halftone and Rings Stamp Set with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder...Simon Says Stamp Lots of Dots with Black Archival and highlighted the sentiment with a Signo Uniball White Pen.
I sprinkled Prima flowers with "Are You Cerise" and "Limoncello" Infusions and spritzed with water.
fixed to the canvas along with Idea-ology Photobooth images
and Tim Holtz/Sizzix Heartfelt hearts die cut from scraps of card coloured with "Are You Cerise"an Idea-ology Game Spinner coloured with Brushed Pewter Distress Paint and Prima "The Archivist" Stickers...
an Idea-ology Typed Token and a twine bow...

ReplyDeleteAwwwww! This is such a sweet piece! I love how much tender emotion it evokes. It can't help but make me smile. And wow! I am so impressed at how skillfully you used the Infusions powder! I'm still trying to get the hang of mine and ended up with some muddy-looking puddles when I went a little too crazy with the spritzing! But you've nailed it and I especially love how you did the flower treatment with it. Genius, as usual!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful canvas, Kath and I love the colour combination of the pinks and blues, it's one of my favourites and works so well on this dreamy, romantic project! Hugs xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty, Kath! Love the infusions and how you've used them! I really need them too now! I think these are more true to the color then brusho. I'm going to look into them, Thanks! Hugs, Sandra
