I die cut a frame and panel from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Stacked Deckle Thinlits
I stamped the image from the Theories stamp set on to Distress Watercolor Card with Black Soot Archival, die cut using a smaller Stacked Deckle die and darkened the edges with a Black Soot Distress Marker. I stamped the image again with Candied Apple Distress Oxide and fussy cut the balloon. I stamped the sentiments from Pennants with Black Soot Archival and cut out.
I stamped the pennant twice on to Distress Watercolor card with Black Soot Archival and Candied Apple Distress Oxide and cut out.
fixed the frame in place
darkened the edges of the panel with a Black Soot Distress Marker and popped the panel back into the frame, popped up with 3D foam to create dimension.
and a softer more feminine version decorated with (look away now Mr H) SEQUINS...
I used the stencils from Mini Layering Set 6 with Worn Lipstick and Black Soot Distress Oxides to decorate the panelstamped the pennants on to Distress Watercolor Card using Worn Lipstick, Twisted Citron, Wild Honey and Broken China Distress Oxides and cut out. I then stamped the pennant again on to the panel inking up only the ties section with Black Soot Distress Oxide.
fixed the coloured pennants in place and decorated with sequins and Eclectic Elements Thread.
I fixed the panel to a black card blank and created small splatters on the panel and around the edges of the card with the inks I used to stamp the pennants.
I'll be back tomorrow to share some cards I made with the Mini Blueprints 10 stamp set...it's going to be a "something for everyone" Beer, Wine and Cocktails day.

2 great cards Kath, those pennants are fab...it's good to see some new stampable birthday/greeting sentiments in Tim's range. Sequins are my go to added embellie even over ribbon... perhaps Tim could come up with a distressed range...ha ha! Keep warm, even down here it's bitter and there is heavy snow forecast, though we woke up to clear paths xxx
ReplyDeleteYour cards are gorgeous Kath x Love the vibrant colours/stamps, which cheer up these cold days.

I doubt very much that Mr H will mind your use of sequins, they look fabulous and I just love the colours on the first card - great use of the pennants - and now I need that deckle cut die set, you are such an enabler.....!! Hugs, Anne xxx
ReplyDeleteI like the color blend on the top card. Really stands out. Good use of the rubber stamps.
