Playtime with Simon Says August Card Kit

Hi folks, I've finally got round to having a play with the August Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. No surprise that it has already sold out but some of the products from the kit are still available to buy separately HERE.

There are so many gorgeous goodies in this kit that I didn't quite know where to start but I'm a sucker for anything floral so it was time to get the gorgeous Mandy's Flowers stamp set inked up and create a paper pieced card with the beautiful Early Bird papers from Bo Bunny.
I scored and folded the 120# White Cardstock included in the kit to create an A2 card blank, cut Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock to be slightly smaller and stamped the image with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink. I re-stamped the image several times on to the patterned papers and fussy cut around the inner circle, flower and leaves.
I fussy cut four layers of the flower, fixed the first layer in place with Ranger Multi Medium Matte and popped the other 3 layers up on Tim Holtz Sizzix Mini Foam to create dimension.
I fussy cut the outer circle, stamped the sentiment and the small dots image from the stamp set with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black and added highlights to the little sprigs and centre of the flowers with a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen.
I added thin strips of the patterned paper and another flower to the bottom of the card and matted the panel on to the card blank.
And it's Friday, which means I'll be catching up with my Friday Girlfriends for a fun day out...coffee, lunch, lots of chat and no doubt some retail therapy. Have a great weekend everyone, have fun whatever you have planned and I'll see you all on Monday with my DT project for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. And you still have loads of time to join in with this week's Tape It Up Challenge with a chance to win a $50 spending spree in the Simon Says Stamp Online Store.
Toodle-oo for now
