AALL&Create Guest Designer Project - Bad Bears

Hi folks, I'm back to share this week's AALL&Create Guest Designer project using the super cute # 157 Bad Bears stamp set designed by Louise Nelson, #147 Zipp It designed by Olga Heldwein and Stencils #39 Lotza Dotz and #52 Qualdrilaterals designed by Autour De Mwa.
I decided that the two stamps sets were an ideal choice to decorate an Eileen Hull Notebook and with some felt inserts it will become storage for my sewing needles but of course, you could use it as a mini journal or notebook.

I die-cut the notebook from kraft chipboard using the Eileen Hull/Sizzix Scoreboards L Notebook die and painted with White Gesso. I trimmed two pieces of Distress Watercolor card to be slightly smaller than the front and back panels and rounded the outside corners.
I painted the panels with Stormy Sky Distress Paint and flicked on some water to create the water droplet look
I stamped the zip image from #147 Zipp It and the heart images from #157 Bad Bears with Hickory Smoke Distress Archival on to the front panel.
I trimmed the section above the zip and added Squeezed Lemonade Distress Paint to both panels with Stencil #52 Quadrilaterals using a mini round blending tool.
I painted a scrap of Distress Watercolor card to fit behind the cut-out zip section with Squeezed Lemonade and the heart images with Worn Lipstick Distress Paint.
Surprise, surprise, I added Ranger Texture Paste Opague Matte through Stencil #39 Lotza Dotz
While it was drying I stamped the Bad Bear images, hearts and zip pull on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Hickory Smoke Distress Archival and coloured with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers using a Distress Detailer Brush to blend the colours.
I fussy cut around the bears and the zip pull leaving a white border, added Eclectic Elements White Thread, fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte (pick up some Collage Medium on your fingers, run your fingers along the thread and press in place on to your project) and fixed the bears and zip pull in place with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive.
I fussy cut the hearts and fixed to the back panel with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I created faux stitching around the panels using my trusty Craft Pick and a Sakura Black Micron Pen, fixed the panels to the notebook, punched holes and added White Ribbon as a closure.
