AALL&Create - Too-Wit-Too-Woo

Hi folks, it's time to share this week's AALL&Create Guest Designer Project and with Halloween just around the corner, I was inspired to create a spooky but fun Art Journal Page in my Dylusions Small Creative Journal featuring the super cute "Too-Wit-Too-Woo" chorus of adorable owls from Olga Heldwein's Owl You Need Is Love stamp set.

I began by die-cutting a circle from masking paper and placed on the page. I lightly spritzed the pages with water and then sprayed Black Soot Distress Spray Stain and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Spray on to the journal pages. I dried and then spritzed with water to blend the colours and get that oxidised look. I removed the mask, spritzed water around the edges and let the colours run back into the moon. I applied Black Soot Distress Oxide ink through Stencil #72 Let Go to create branches around the edges and added splatters of White Gouache.

I applied Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink randomly on the background using Stencil #52 Quadrilaterals. I die-cut vellum circles, fixed to the pages with Distress Collage Medium Matte, added Ranger Opague Texture Paste using Stencil #39 Lotza Dotz and set aside to dry.

I inked the owl images from #156 Owl You Need Is Love with Versafine Clair Nocturne, stamped on to Strathmore Bristol Smooth card, coloured with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and fussy cut.

I fixed the owls to the vellum circles using Distress Collage Medium and added Clipping Stickers from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Curiosities Sticker Book.

I doodled around the vellum circles and Clipping Stickers with a Sharpie Black pen and added faux stitching with a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen.

 

Last but not least, it's time for some WOOHOO excitement, AALL&Create will be launching their brand new collection of fabulous stamps from lots of amazing talented designers TOMORROW and also have a One Day Special with the lovely and very talented Tracy Evans on Hochanda on the

18th - 6.00pm and 8.00pm 

19th - 9.00am, 1.00pm and 5.00pm
