Simon Says Stamp Blog Party

Hi my friends, I'm delighted to be joining the Simon Says Stamp United We Craft Blog Party where lots of creative friends have come together to share inspiration with you all. The crafting community is one big family, with members spread across the globe, so kind, caring and ready to help each other in times of crisis and together, we will get through these difficult "stay at home-self isolating" times. We are all feeling anxious and overwhelmed and miss spending time with our family and friends but you can have your own creative crafting party with your friends on social media via What's App, Facetime or Skype. In the meantime, you can join the United We Craft Blog Party and check out all the amazing inspiration from 99 makers HERE

I created 2 cards with encouraging words using the same products, Simon Says Stamp Stronger Together stamp set, Extra Large Dots Stencil, Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Glazes and Tiny Text stamp, on Distress Cracked Leather and Distress Watercolor Card. I took advantage of the translucent properties of the Distress Embossing Glazes and love how the sentiment stamping on the background shows through the stencilled dots, cool or what !!!
Let's begin with the card on the left...

I trimmed Distress Cracked Leather card to A2, inked the whole of the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Tiny Text stamp with Hickory Smoke Distress Archival ink, placed the card panel on to the stamp and pressed all over with my fingers to transfer the ink. I placed the panel in my Travel Stamp Platform and using Simon Says Stamp Grid Transparency lined up the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Stronger Together and stamped with Black Soot Distress Archival ink. I fixed Simon Says Stamp Extra Large Dots stencil over the panel and tapped the Versamark ink pad all over.
I sprinkled on Tattered Rose, Fossilized Amber, Cracked Pistachio and Broken China Distress Embossing Glazes, gently tapped off the excess and heat set.
I inked the leaves images from Stronger Together with Black Soot Distress Archival and stamped on to a scrap of Distress Cracked Leather card.
I tapped the Versamark ink pad over the images, sprinkled with Cracked Pistachio and Broken China Distress Embossing Glazes and gently tapped my fingers on the back of the card to mix the embossing glazes up a little bit.
I fussy cut the leaves and fixed to the panel using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive to create dimension. I inked the sentiment again with \Versamark ink, stamped on to Simon Says Stamp Black cardstock, heat embossed with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder, fussy cut and fixed in place with Mini Foam Adhesive.

I created the second card using the same method but used Black Soot Distress Archival to stamp the Tiny Text background on to Distress Watercolor card. I inked the leaves images with Versamark ink, stamped on to Simon Says Stamp Black cardstock and heat set with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder.
To finish, I added shading to the edges of the panels using Fossilized Amber and Broken China Distress Oxide inks using a mini round blending tool, Simon Says Stamp Buzzy Bee gold sequins, matted the panels on to black cardstock and fixed to white card blanks.
I'm off to make myself a cuppa, snuggle up on the sofa and have fun visiting all my blog party friends. Have a great weekend and I'll see you all on Monday to share my DT project for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
Stay Safe and Keep Well
