Happy Saturday my friends, I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I'm delighted that finally it's snowing in my neck of the woods and I'm looking forward to a crafty weekend, snug as a bug in a rug, in my cosy happy place.
In the meantime, I'm sharing more snowflake themed cards using products from Simon Says Stamp Snowflake Season January Card Kit. The kit has sold out but some of the products are still available to buy individually HERE.
I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4" and stamped the snowflake images from the Snowflake Season stamp set randomly over the background using Dusty Concord Distress Oxide and Black Soot Distress Archival. I die-cut the panel using the SSS Eliza Snowflake die included in the kit.
I inked around the edge of the panel with Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink using a mini round blending tool and fixed to a panel of co-ordinating paper from the Whimsy Stamps Blurry Flurries 6" x 6" papers. I placed the snowflakes back into their negative spaces and puzzle pieced the circles and centre sections back in, fixed in place with dots of adhesive and set the snowflakes aside to use later.
I stamped the Hello Friend sentiment from the stamp set, inked with Dusty Concord Distress Oxide, on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card
I die-cut the stamped sentiment using the largest circle die from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Circle Thinlits and popped up on Sizzix Foam Adhesive to create dimension.
To finish I added Lucy's Little Things Ice Crystal sequins, matted the panel on to an A2 Simon Says Stamp Black card blank and added a white panel on the inside to write a message.I trimmed one of the Whimsy Stamps Blurry Flurries papers to 4" x 5.1/4", fixed the left over snowflakes from the previous card around the top edge using Distress Collage Medium Matte. I stamped the small snowflake image from the stamp set randomly over the background, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival. I stamped the Hello Friend sentiment on to a scrap of Simon Says Sea Glass card, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival and fixed behind the aperture on the panel which was cut using a circle die. I stamped the image again on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, die-cut using the largest die from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Thinlits, popped up on Sizzix Foam Adhesive to create dimension and added a twine bow.
To finish, I added a dashed line around the inside edge of the aperture using a Black Micron Pen, added Lucy's Little Things Ice Crystal Sequins and matted the panel on to an A2 Simon Says Stamp Black card blank.Enjoy what's left of your weekend and I'll be back on Monday to share my DT project for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
