Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because
The first challenge of the month means the Design Team are showcasing products from one particular company or brand and this month we are all using the fabulous products from Carabelle Studio. You don't have to use their products to join in the challenge but if you have them in your stash, we would love to see what you make with them.
We are also welcoming the lovely and very talented Estelle Palumbo aka Atouscrap as our February Designer In The Spotlight, if you haven't visited her blog before, pop over and say hi, you are in for a real treat.
the theme for this week is...
LOVE AND/OR HEARTS
I created an Art Journal page dedicated to love using my Ranger Gel Plate with Dina Wakley paints, Carabelle Studio Spiral Fantasy Texture Plate and Fantasy 6" x 6" Stencil, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Field Notes, Tim Holtz/Sizzix The Park, Alphanumeric Stretch Upper, Tiny Type Lower Thinlits and Lucky Love 3D Impresslits.
I began by adding drops of Ruby, Tangerine and Lemon Dina Wakley Paint to my Ranger Gel Plate and brayered to mix. I pressed the Carabelle Studio Spiral Fantasy Texture Plate randomly into the paint and pulled a print on a 5" x 7" panel of Distress Watercolor card. I applied Dina Wakley Black paint randomly through the Carabelle Studio Fantasy 6" x 6" stencil using a mini round blending tool. I inked the circle images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Field Notes with Black Soot Distress Archival and stamped randomly on the background.
I applied Distress Crackle Texture Paste through the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Grime Layering Stencil and waited for the magic to happen.
I added Tim Holtz/Sizzix Media Marks Thinlits die-cuts fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I die-cut and embossed the heart on Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Lucky Love 3D Impresslit and coloured with Distress Oxide re-inkers using a Distress Detailer Brush.
I fixed Sizzix Adhesive Sheets to Idea-ology BlackOut KraftStock and Distress Watercolor card and die-cut the characters from Tim Holtz/Sizzix The Park Thinlits 4 times, layered to create a drop highlight and fixed to the panel using Sizzix Foam Adhesive to create dimension. I fixed the kite string from the same set in place with Distress Collage Medium, added the 3D Impresslits heart and gave the gent a flower to hold.
I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Tiny Type Lower letters and fixed to the heart.
I die-cut the title letters 3 times from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Stretch Upper, Tiny Type Lower and Celebrate Thinlits and layered to create dimension.
Why don't you pop over to the Monday Challenge Blog and check out the amazing creations from my very talented Design Team mates and as always you have until Monday 8am Ohio time...1pm UK time...2 pm CET to join in with the chance to win a $25 voucher to spend online at Simon Says Stamp
