Winter Wishes from Mr Frost

Hi my friends, winter has well and truly arrived in my little corner of the planet with plummeting temperatures  and a light dusting of snow.Just the kind of weather that makes me want to stay indoors, head to my cosy cubbyhole and get creative with products from 2021 that you might think are only for Christmas.  I decided to make  Winter Wishes cards using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mr Frost and Scribbly Snowflakes Thinlits and the Warmest Wishes stamp set, Scattered Snowflakes Stencil and Seafoam Glitz Glitter Gel from Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit.

I began by applying the SeafoamGlitz Glitter Gel through Simon Says Scattered Snowflakes Stencil on to a 4" x 5.1/4" panel of Distress Watercolor card and set aside to dry.
I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mr Frost Thinlits from Distress Watercolor card and Black and Brown Idea-ology Classic KraftStock. I coloured the scarf and nose using Villainous Potion and Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide inks.
I assembled Mr Frost, added shading around his body using Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink and a Distress Detailer Brush and added white dots to his eyes with a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen.
I fixed Mr Frost to the panel and added Tim Holtz/Sizzix Scribbly Snowflakes die-cut from Distress Watercolor card, all fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I covered a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Distress Collage Medium and sprinkled on Distress Rock Candy Glitter and once it had dried, die-cut another 3 Scribbly Snowflakes.
I fixed the snowflakes in place over the top of the others using Distress Collage Medium to create dimension. I inked the sentiment from Simon Says Warmest Wishes stamp set, stamped on to a scrap of brown Idea-ology Classic KraftStock, sprinkled with Simon Says White Detail Embossing Powder, heat set, trimmed and fixed to the panel with foam adhesive.
To finish, I matted the panel on to brown Idea-ology Classic KraftStock trimmed to be 1/8" larger and fixed to an A2 white card blank.

I'll be back soon to share another card made from a Scattered Snowflakes Stencil/Glitz Glitter Gel panel and the cute snowmen from Simon Says Warmest Wishes stamp set. In the meantime, have fun with whatever you are creating and stay safe, warm and cosy.
Hugs Kath xxx
