Simon Says - Fun with Paint

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

FUN WITH PAINT

I used Tim Holtz/Ranger Picket Fence Distress Paint and Simon Says Stamp Leafy Greens 6" x 6" Stencil to create a resist on the background of my card and decorated with Simon Says Stamp Floral Word Builder stamps and co-ordinating dies along with Floral Word Builder Sentiments set to complete the sentiment.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor cardstock to 5" x 7" and taped to my Glass Media Mat. I pounced Picket Fence Distress Paint through Simon Says Stamp Leafy Greens 6" x 6" Stencil using a Mini Round Blending Tool.

I removed the stencil and dried the panel. I smooshed the Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink pads on to the glass mat and spritzed with water. I picked the inks up on a piece of acetate, pressed on to the background until I was happy with the coverage and wiped any excess ink of the stencilled sections.

I repeated the process with Black Soot Distress Paint and Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Half Tone Layering Stencil using a Tiny Blending Tool.

I stamped the images from Simon Says Stamp Floral Word Builder stamp set, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, on to Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Distress Watercolor Pencils (colours linked below) using a Detailer Waterbrush and die-cut using the Floral Word Builder co-ordinating dies.

I fixed the die-cut letters to the panel using Simon Says Stamp Thin 3D Foam Squares.

I stamped the banner from Simon Says Stamp Floral Word Builder Sentiments on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink, stamped the sentiment on top with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, die-cut with the co-ordinating die and fixed to the panel with Thin 3D Foam Squares.

To finish I matted the panel on to a 5" x 7" White Card Blank.
