Drum roll please...

Hi folks...woohoo...drum roll please...deadlines have been nailed...the crafty list is bang up to date so I'm patting myself on the back...polishing my halo and tooting my own flute...it's amazing how much work you can get through when a fun weekend away from the cubbyhole is on the cards and tomorrow...before the rest of the world is awake...I'll be on my way to the airport for a silly o'clock flight to Birmingham to join all the other mixed media hooligans at the Ministry of Mixology Workshops in Coventry...I'm muchly excited to be spending time with old friends...making new and looking forward to 2 days of messy mayhem.
And hey I even managed to squeeze in some new Distress Crayon playtime...killing two birds with one stone to complete Monday's Simon Says Stamp DT project...
and with loads of Remnant Rubs left on my workdesk from this month's tag...
and Mr Mojo playing ball...it would have been remiss of me not to take advantage and strike while the iron was hot...woohoo...another card for this year's Christmas box using this month's Technique Remix again...Christmas Blueprint and those left over NOEL letters...

and today I'll be deciding on my weekend wardrobe...getting stuck in to the dreaded ironing...sorting out my messy nails (although that will probably be a complete waste of time) and taming the birds' nest hair.
Have a great weekend everyone whatever you have planned and I'll be back on Monday with my DT project for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and remember you still have time to join in the fun with the chance to win a $50 shopping spree in the store.

"12 Tags of 2016" - November

Hi Everyone...another great Technique Remix from Tim this month and I don't know about you but I'm struggling to believe that this is the second to last tag for...
Remnant Rub Resist and Dimensional Colouring
the year seems to have flown by and it's a sobering thought that Christmas is just around the corner so I decided to get myself in the mood and go with a Christmas theme...a chance to use up some of the bits and pieces left over from last year's Festive Remnant Rubs
and ink up an old favourite...Christmas Blueprint 2

and it looks like I'm going to be running around like a headless chicken for the next 2 or 3 days...lots to do before the weekend and because I didn't have the heart to throw the left over letters in the bin...another project has been added to that crazy list...
fingers crossed Mr Mojo's in the mood for a "back on the hamster wheel" day in the cubbyhole.
Toodle-oo for now

Thanks/Thanksgiving...

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's "Shine Bright Like A Diamond" challenge...we hope you can join us this week too because...

and the theme for this week is...
THANKS/THANKSGIVING
I'm sure I'm not the only one who becomes overwhelmed by all that is happening in the fast paced chaotic 21st century world we live in and how easy it is to take the simple things for granted and forget that we have a lot to be thankful for. So I decorated a media board to display in my craft room...a reminder of how grateful I am for the love and support of a wonderful family and great friends. Taking into consideration the dreary dismal weather outside the window...I decided to go for cheery and bright....sunglasses at the ready folks...
I started off by painting a chipboard panel with Distress Paints...Worn Lipstick/Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron...
stamped script from the Ledger Script Stamp Set with Black Archival ink...
and used the Hearts Layering Stencil with Picket Fence Distress Paint...
added some Remnant Rubs...
I die cut the words from Friendship Words Script from black and white cardstock and fixed together to create a shadow effect...
added Small Talk Stickers and Wildflowers die cuts...
chipboard stickers painted with Black Soot Distress Paint and coated with Glossy Accents along with a Crinkle Ribbon bow...twine and a typed token

Woohoo it's Friday...

Hi everyone...it's Friday already...another week bites the dust and it's hard to believe only 6 weeks left until Christmas. We had a bit of a stuttery start to the week but the AWOL Mr Mojo is back and we're cooking by gas again...cosy and snug in the cubbyhole cracking on with the crafty list listening to the chilly arctic wind whistling round the house and watching the rain run down the window. It's that time of year when the Nanook Of The North dog walking wardrobe makes an appearance...the multi layered "Michelin Man" lady with her silly hat is let loose to amuse the neighbours but I care not a jot...when you're of a certain age comfort comes before fashion...well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
I've been on a mission to get ahead of the game with lots of DT projects because I'm off on a fun jolly next weekend...2 days of workshops with amazing tutors in the company of wonderful friends and I can't wait.
In the meantime the postie's been busy calling at the cubbyhole with happy happy mail...a gorgeous bunch of birthday blooms from my lovely Fiskars buddy Enfys...aren't those ornamental cabbage flowers beautiful...
and I'll definitely be saving the beautiful aubergine coloured tissue wrap and ribbon...
and not forgetting the crafty stuff...how could I resist the new sets of Distress Crayons...can't wait to get my hands on the new Distress Crayon storage Tim has planned...
but Distress Crayon playtime will have to wait for another day because I have a hot date with the Friday Girls and we're heading for a country inn to eat our fill...chat to our hearts' content and toast our toes at a roaring log fire...time spent with friends is the best therapy ever and free...especially when it's not my turn to buy lunch.
Have a great weekend everyone and I'll see you all on Monday with my Simon Says Monday Challenge project...nod nod wink wink...sneaking in a little peek.
