Morning everyone.....can you believe it's the 1st of April already....April Fool's Day and officially British Summertime....could someone tell whoever controls the weather or have I got it all wrong...am I supposed to be marooned in the cubbyhole with knee deep snow and blowing a hooley outside in the summer time.....OK joke's over let's get back to the lovely weather.
The good news is it's time for a brand new challenge over at GET FUNKY.....chosen this month by our lovely teamie Kathy......rather appropriate don't you think......
APRIL SHOWERS
Papers: Funky Hand....Dreams Come True CD.....Blue Magic Collection
Border Punch.....Fiskars...Effervescence
Pearls.....Hobby House
Sentiment: American Crafts Fabric Thickers
My Little Shoebox...Tiny Alphas
it's your birthday.....computer generated
and before I am inundated with e-mails....I just hand drew the umbrella...cut out the sections and stuck them onto dark brown card. This is one of my favourites colour collections from Dreams Come True....I love them all but I was drawn to this one when I saw Kathy's challenge and doesn't that background paper look like splodges of rain.
So all you have to do to enter this month's challenge and be in with a chance of winning a £20 voucher to spend online at Funky Hand is post your card to your blog with a link to our challenge...then pop over to GET FUNKY and leave us a comment with a link to your entry and remember you must use at least one Funky Hand paper or extra and if you don't have any Funky Hand papers....Anice has kindly provided a free backing paper download that you can use.....click HERE.
So if it's raining or indeed snowing where you are...what better excuse do you need to get out your crafty stuff and have a play......I am looking forward to seeing what you all create this month.....and yes you have until the end of April to enter....so plenty of time to get your thinking caps on......and if you are looking for some inspiration pop over and see what my lovely and mega talented teamies have pulled out of the hat this month.....they never fail to amaze me....and to see who won last month's challenge.
Was intending to have a little trip to Simply Create this week to see the lovely Jacqui and Anne......apparently they have had lots of new stuff delivered and I can't wait to get my hands on the fabulous new Hero Arts stamps...but with the weather here that is a definite NO.. NO....unless "The Budster" and his mates are up for a bit of sled racing.

Love your blog Kath, I visit everyday.
ReplyDeleteThe weather here in Ipswich, Suffolk is gorgeous as far as the sun shinig goes, but venture outside and the wind is freezing.LOL..............still better than snow in April.
Lovely card Kath, shame about the weather, you can even seen the rain on your window in the background. All the "experts" say we're having a lovely summer - hopefully that's not too far away now.

Beautiful Card. Nice to see someone near me with such a fab blog. Have signed up as a follower. I love Simple Create too. Say hello to Jacquie and Anne next time you are there. Did you go on Saturday to the crop? It was great fun and I actually got things done rather than spending the whole time chatting.
