What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday

Morning folks...time to join in the fun over at WOYWW and what's on my workdesk today.....well I am having another tidy day....with his Lordship...the one and only Timmy Holtz.....labelling up all his Distress Inks so that I can pick out the one I want instead of hunting through the piles.....with the best intentions in the world they start off being stacked in colours but that only lasts a day or two and then they are all muddled up again.....sound familiar....

so a big thank you to my lovely bloggy bud Eveline who gave me the link for this PDF file from Ranger with all the ink colours so it's a case of print off....stick to a double sided sticky sheet....cut or punch out and hey presto...no more rummaging...well that's the theory..mind you the type is a little small....so I may have to upgrade my specs to the re-entry shield type lenses....
Now I am used to company in the cubbyhole...my bundle of furry golden deliciousness can usually be found snuggled up fast asleep on his big comfy cushion in the corner with me working along to the strains of doggy snores but....

not today......he is standing guard outside just waiting for the fattest pigeon on the planet to try a landing on the bird table...he has taken a real dislike to this sneaky thief and takes great delight in seeing him off....perhaps he's thinking he might get lucky and end up with pigeon pie for tea.....but I had a rather smaller visitor this morning....of the arachnid variety....and if you are of a nervous disposition...don't fret he is rather cute and not in the least bit scary....

and shock horror...my secret is out...there are cobwebs in the cubbyhole.....and my excuse is... I have enough to do keeping my workspace and the floor tidy...without dusting the ceiling too and he doesn't take up much space...doesn't snore so there are now 3 of us in the cubbyhole.  And what's the weather going to do today....at the moment the sky is blue..the sun is shining but hey ho who knows.    Yesterday we had all seasons in one day.....sun..rain...wind and this.....no not fall out from the Icelandic volcano...the real deal...big flaky white snowy stuff....
what happened to the scorching summer we were getting this year.
And enough of this filing and tidying lark....let's get back to some crafting.
Catch up with you all later
Hugs Kath xxx

  1. Kath - Three's a crowd!, especially where spiders are concerned. I know they don't do any harm but even the thought of them brings me out in a cold sweat.
Hope your weather is more settled today.

  13. Ah your cubby looks very comfortable. Love the idea that buddy is hooliganising a pigeon, he'd love a day at my place! Am so with you on the labels and new glasses thing. Said to DH only yesterday that a prescription windscreen would be a huge help!

  15. I did the labelling when I first got mine and they are falling off now, so I will have to do it again, but it's a great idea.
Your new pet is creepy. Keep him, so you can use it on a Halloween card. He might be big and fat and be enought for an entire bakcground by the time Halloween comes up! lol

  19. eeeek: i'd have rather seen a pic of Buddy waiting for the pigeon than that creepy spider which may as well have been 10 foot tall :O(

What a great idea about the PDF file for the names of the inks - i didn;t know that existed - i'll come back and click on your link - cheers...

You don't happen to have two of any particular colour of DI's do you? I did a really stupid thing and ordered a colour that i'd already got (and not used) - i thought i'd add to the collection seeing as I was placing an order - instead of checking I went ahead and ordered one i'd got!!! Well, I have been out of it (thats my excuse LOL)

  20. Are going for ALL the DIs or do you have them all? My friend used to put spiders in a cupboard rather than out in the cold - did she think they couldn't get under the door?

  21. I love your crafting space but I'm sorry to say I would have to evict your 8 legged friend before I would enjoy being in it.

  22. Spiders are a good sign hun, means you are devoting enough time to crafting and ignoring the H word ROFL Love love love your gorgeous doggy... so beautiful, I would love one for myself but think my AlfieCat would leave home LOL As for the SNOW!! In May!!! Tis cold here so please don't send it this way.. have a great day x

  24. Morning Kathy - my Harley wont tolerate the pigeons in his garden either, but he also likes to try catching the planes that take off from City airport too (its only a few miles away from us). Daft dog thinks he can leap 10,000feet in the air.

Would you like to come and sort my ink pads out next - the whole lot end up coming out as the one I need is always the last one I grab.

  30. What is this word dusting? I read it on Hels' blog too.
Yes the distress ink thing does sound familiar. If you ink the labels with the colour it might help identify it without the need for stronger specks xx

  38. now I like spiders, its my other half that's a big girl when he spots one.
My excuse for not dusting away the cobwebs is that spiders catch all the nasty bugs and flies, so they're a good thing to have in the house
