Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Morning folks...hope you are enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend....the weather here has been dismal to say the least...so what better excuse do I need than to stay indoors and get crafty......a busy hectic week ahead for me....so yesterday was set aside as playtime....a chance to play with the gorgeous new Hero Arts Artist Proofs stamps that arrived via Mr Postie on Saturday.....oooh they are delicious...so I'm sure you will be seeing lots and lots of cards made with these beauties.
The challenge this week from the lovely Paula over at Daring Cardmakers is a challenge and a half.....

EASEL DOES IT
to make an easel card....but not the usual square
well this one had me stumped until I saw the gorgeous card that my lovely bloggy buddy Lynda made with one of Craftwork Cards chipboard shapes....so I set to work and believe me folks...this was a marathon of measuring and cutting out....but love how it turned out.....and will definitely be using this idea again

Chipboard Butterfly...Craftwork Cards
Background created with Hero Arts Shadow Ink...Soft Sand
overstamped with HA...Old Letter Writing
Images: Hero Arts..Watercolor Petals
inked with TH Distress Inks....Chipped Sapphire...Peeled Paint...Brushed Corduroy
Flowers: Prima coloured with Chipped Sapphire
Sentiment: Hero Arts...Thinking of You
Pearls...Hobby House
Ribbon: American Crafts

And you all seemed to love the gorgeous Miss Ruby as much as we do.....isn't she just the sweetest little lady and I think us girlies would die to have hair as glossy as that.....oh yes and without any mega expensive hair treatments either....well that's me for today folks....hopefully I may manage to fit in a challenge card or two over the next few days.
Remember to pop over to Craftwork Cards Blog where they will be announcing the Design Team's Best 5 Card Candy combinations and you can then cast your vote...can't wait to see who the lucky winner is.

  39. This is stunning Kath. Certainly worth the effort. Really gorgeous, love the colours and your new stamps are so pretty. I've seen the new Hero Arts Artist proofs stamps online and been trying to resist buying some! But then again I've had 3 days decorating and most has been painting, undercoat and then gloss. I hate painting...think I'm too clumsy to paint tidily. My excuse is the brush was rubbish. So I may have to treat myself lol!
