It's a bright bonny blue sky morning after a horrendous thunderstorm last night. There I was all snuggled up in bed reading the latest Ian Rankin thriller...The Budster soundo at my feet when the rain started...not just a little pitter patter....real monsoon stuff bouncing off the roof.... then there was a huge flash followed in a nanosecond by the biggest bang and we were pitched into darkness....hey I got a fright never mind the poor Budster. Oh bother I had just reached an exciting bit in the book so I gingerly felt my way downstairs to get a torch and sat out the storm reading by torchlight...very Enid Blyton and the Famous Five.....thankfully it moved away quite quickly but rumbled on in the distance for at least another hour.
Another catchy up kind of a day....not making too many dents in the list of things to do and it looks like it could be another 3 day crafting week.....have a feeling that the hooligans will be coming on Thursday and Friday.....well I am off to the SALES.....Jacqui at Simply Create is having a MEGA SALE on Friday and Saturday....lots of fabulous offers....will I see you there.....in the meantime I will see you all tomorrow over at WOYWW.

Great card Kath. Lewis was a bit disappointed that we didn't have thunder and lightning as forecast last night. Hope you manage to purchase lots of goodies at the sale. Wish I lived closer so that I could shop there! Lainy xx
ReplyDeleteGreat Christmascard you made!

Why does something always happen when you get to the good bit in a book - usually for me though it is just the phone ringing or someone at the door - not a massive power cut!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the sale - how jealous am I. They do flight from Exeter, I did check it out, so maybe one day I may treat myself to a little jaunt away.
Another lovely card Kath, I may have to have a go with this one. Have a good day.
Georgie xx
Great card Kath, It lookd perfect to me. You may think that there is something because it a more simple card than yu are used to making. I think it is just perfect.

I don't think it needs anything else, Kath - gorgeous. it is pouring down here again today - hope it brightens up by the weekend. Enjoy the sales x
ReplyDeleteFantastic quick card Kath. I always love your "quick" cards.
ReplyDeleteWe seem to have missed the thunder and lightning last night. We went a circular tour to Crathes Castle yesterday and then to Banchory for tea. Came home via Alford - rather be there during the day though! We did see some rain but luckily never when we were outside. Altogether a lovely day out. Pity I have to work now!!

Fab card :o)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your take on this sketch Kath - I can see 'Christmas' now you mention it lol - why don't sketches speak to me like that I wonder?
