Losing more than the plot

Morning folks....it's a dreich dismal rainy morning...a disappointment after yesterday's beautiful sunshiney day....my lovely crafty buddy Debbi and I had a great catch up with all our news trip out to Simply Create followed by a coffee and a scone at The Alford Bistro....do they know how to make scones...huge and utterly yummy.  But I am a tad concerned....I was convinced that my lovely buddy Anne would be working yesterday but we arrived to find she wasn't....is this the start of the downward spiral of forgetfulness....am I losing the plot and that is not all I am losing....my faithful "can't craft without" pokey tools are going AWOL faster than I can replace them.    OK they have occasionally fallen into the waste bin but crikey how can you lose 3 in the space of 4 days....one could be considered an accident...3 is definitely carelessness and despite combing through the bin and turning the cubbyhole upside down they have disappeared off the face of the earth....any suggestions as to how I can keep the replacements safe apart from attaching them to my person permanently.   And there's more.... my trusty old corner rounder finally gave up the ghost at the weekend after 10 years of faithful service so I treated myself to a Zutter Round It All....a serious piece of kit so expect to see rounded corners on everything for the forseeable future.
But it's not all doom and gloom....surprise surprise....I  have some crafty stuff to share today......more cards I made for Simply Create with the gorgeous Hero Arts..Antique Engravings Clear Stamp Set and delicious papers from Delish Designs (very aptly named don't you think) Bistro Collection.

Another scrapling and I think I may have confused quite a few people....so let me explain.
Score and fold an A4 sheet of cardstock to make an A5 card.....trim down to 14.25cm x 14.25cm or 5.3/4" x 5.3/4" if you haven't embraced metric yet to make a square card......the bit you have left over is the scrapling.....simples.   Just time for a little sneaky peek...
forgive the pun but check out this delicious ribbon that Debbi spotted and no show without punch I just had to have some too.    It's going to be a "lock myself in the cubbyhole" kind of a day....it's time to have a play with all the yummy stuff that arrived in the cubbyhole recently   I will see you all tomorrow for another fabby challenge over at Penny Black Saturday.
Hugs Kath xxx

  4. Wow I love what you have done with your new butterfly stamps, really gorgeous. You may have some of the little people called Borrowers, I think I have them as it's tweezers and erasers that go missing for me.
    Happy crafting

  7. Good morning Kath and Buddy, I recommend get a small magnet and hover it about and behold everything that magnets attract will attach itself. I do this a lot surprising what you find he he. Wilkinsons used to do a pen like magnet which extends - I use it for picking up pins. Sorry had mine for a long time. Lovely lovely card as usual Kath, love to Buddy. Hugs JO.xxx

  8. Hello there Kath, gorgeous cards today:D
To be honest I've lost so many pokey tools I've resorted to using darts, guess what? I'm still on the first one and it's a couple of years now, ooeerr, maybe it's because I didn't buy it?? Just had a little thought It couldn't be a certain furry buddy collecting them, nah, just a thought!
Hope the weather cheers up for you soon :D xx

  9. Wow a lovely scrummy card. Those butterflies are gorgeous. I know what you mean about things going AWOL. I spend more time searching for things than making a card, and I try to tidy up most days. Hope the weather pics up for Buddy walkies. Hugs x CHrisB

  12. I lost two sets of brand new clear stamps for almost two weeks, I was going nuts trying to find them! Love the scraplings and as I have too much left overs I'll give that a go, I've been making Christmas tags to use up my scraps!

Oh!! And should the most amazing thing happen and the planets align tomorrow morning and I get picked over at PBSC, I'll be off line from 21 Aug - 29th Aug!! So please don't re-draw, lol!! Catch up with you in a while.

    Hugs

Sounds like you had a lovely day out with Debbi yesterday!

And didn't the weather turn out really fine today after all. I thought it was supposed to be nice in the morning and wet in the afternoon not the other way round!
