What's on my Workdesk Wednesday

Morning folks...and before you know Wednesday comes around again and it's time to play along with Julia and all her crafty chums at WOYWW.  No more sneaky peeks of demo cards to show because the crafty girl has been well and truly sidetracked in a mad organisation moment....why do I get these ideas popping into my head when I am knee deep in other stuff.  Cast your mind back several months when I reorganised all my clear stamp sets into A5 file folders....thought it was a brilliant idea at the time but they are now all bursting at the seams and no room at the inn for all the new boys from Hero Arts.  Happened to spot these Really Useful Boxes reduced in Tesco at the weekend....perfect size...lots of space to hold oodles of clear stamp sets and clings and I can see at a glance the set I want instead of flicking through files...a job for a "not much happening in the cubbyhole" day perhaps but oh no...when I get an idea in my noodle...it's now or never and I'm off like a runaway train...
stamps everywhere but I've started and in true Mastermind fashion I'll finish..will this be the perfect storage for my stamps or will be going down the same route in a few months time with another of my brilliant ideas...
and while I am in "Mrs Neat Freak..Mega Organised" mode I may as well file away the 3 months worth of crafty mags sitting on my desk...
then I can get back to the demo stuff again....and no your eyes do not deceive you....a page ripped from the telephone directory....is this intended for a crafty session or am I perhaps searching for the number of a crafty counsellor to cure me of my "are you mad woman" syndrome.

Just when you think the week can't get any worse...dental appointment tomorrow to replace a filling that shot out at the weekend and I think I may have swallowed....visit to the nurse for routine blood test and another morning of practising my Dancing on Ice skills on our treacherous pavements.....just another fun filled week in the cubbyhole.  The Furry Boy has taken a leaf out his Mum's book and being doing his bit to reorganise....so pop back tomorrow for his latest little give-away and have no fear it won't be the empty file folders that are now surplus to requirements.
Hugs Kath xxx

  4. Good morning from one organised freak to another. I'm the same I've reorganised my stamps about three times. I spent ages making little books to keep them in out of one of the craft stampers. Then decided I had too many of a couple of sorts and went and bought boxes. I'm a proper neat freak. Have a good day. Hugs x ChrisB

  13. I don't know how u can keep them all in their lil packets! I just end up ripping them or getting the sticky bit stuck to everything within a 10 yd radius! Mind ya you do have about six times the amount I do so I'll be quiet...

  14. hmmm, I think I need more shelves!
only problem is Graham has the big telly mounted on the wall above my crafty desk - think it might accidentally meet with something sharp *wanders off to try and find her pokey tool*

  18. The boxes are just the perfect size and I also have used telephone directory pages for making flowers, I think it was...a very useful material.

  20. Crikey Kath that’s keen. How can you possibly thing of reorganising when you only did it all a few months ago.
Mind you, I have to agree that having your stamps in folders doesn’t always work, especially when some of my sets are A4, which either means splitting them or going for bigger binders which I don’t really want to do.

  22. I envy those tidy stamp containers. Must admit, the urge to organise everything usually hits me right in the middle of exams - you know - when IU have to set an exam, it is vitally important that my scraproom get organised. Weird Huh?

  23. Kath, those boxes are a great idea for clear & cling stamps. I think we'd all enjoy a good rummage through your stash!

My 'Buddy Giveaway' goodies arrived this morning - thank you sooooo much! I had a great time looking through all the brilliant papers and ribbons etc. I can't thank you & Buddy enough!

Hope you've not had any trauma at the dentist or on the ice today

  24. Sounds like a case of better the devil you know than the devil you don't! Any reason you couldn't have just got another binder and continued on the way you were going? Either way, it does look very organised and it's good to see what you have.

  27. Hi Kath, what is it about this time of year that has us all re-organising our stash :) I did the binder thing and hated it so it had to go and a better way found. I like your little boxes - they look really accessible. I feel something distressed is in production - will pop back to see what those directory pages are used for. Regards, Elizabeth #87
