What's on my Workdesk Wednesday

Morning folks from a very wet North East of Scotland...crikey the rain isn't taking time to fall out of the sky....it's going to be a dripping jacket....wet dog smell kind of a day.
But it's Wednesday and that means it's time to play along with all the folks at WOYWW....aka Julia's place....so what's on my workdesk today....to be honest absolutely nothing....all that scoring folding and trimming have taken their toll on the old body and left me with a really sore shoulder....a touch of repetitive strain injury probably....why do I never learn...should have spread it over a few days instead of going at it like a woman possessed but what's done is done and the good news is the cubbyhole card box is brimming and ready for playing....
next job on the list is to match the cards up with envelopes and polybags....another of those boring conveyor belts jobs and if you're looking for great quality envelopes and self seal polybags at a great price....get yourselves over to Craft Creations.....great customer service....speedy delivery.....free P&P over £20 and great discounts if you bulk buy.....
the idea is to make the most boring of jobs seems like a treat....switch the kettle on...get comfy in the family room and get to work whilst watching a bit of daytime TV which I don't do very often all snuggly and cosy with the wind howling outside and the rain lashing against the window......who am I trying to kid....boring is boring however you dress it up...
and what makes me think that my crafty partner won't be helping out......all that rummaging in the cubbyhole has tuckered him out.....
The bad news is I think the old body is completely going to pot....major overhaul required and it's not only the aches and pains....I've been thinking for some time that I need to get my eyes tested and get new specs....it's just as well we humans don't have to pass a yearly MOT.....I'd be condemned and definitely put off the road.
Forget the Tens machine and the packets of Ibuprofen.....this is guaranteed to chase away those pesky aches and pains....the KING has landed in the UK and is heading north.....
YEEEE.HAAAAA
And important news....our lovely bloggy buddy Ali has moved HERE after having big problems with that awkward sod Mr Blogger

  18. Well Kath im not surprised you have a sore shoulder that is some amount of cards you have ready there but I guess the amount that you make it won't last you that long. Buddy has a great life aye, mind you the weather would drive anyone to snuggle up again. Aud xx

  19. I know what you mean though, little and often makes a tedious job an often tedious job!! I gather you're excited about something or other and so I guess you should rest and get some deep heat on the shoulder....

  21. Sorry to hear you're not up to crafting today, do take care. I have just been diagnosed with a frozen shoulder and the 'blurb' says it can take up to 4 years to clear!!! It is soooo painful......
So I hope you have had a nice restful day - don't forget TH is beckoning.

  23. Good evening Kath, yes, boring jobs stay boring no matter how you look at them. I heard it was raining up your way while we have had winter sunshine, i.e. it's still blooming cold :) I suppose you mean the King is going a tad north in England, I don't suppose I dare hope he is coming to Scotland :( You could suggest it to him when you have your audience with him, please. 25. Goodness Kath you have been busy! Pity about the aches and pains though. I never seem to think about cutting and folding till I need a card. Always think I'm doing well if I cut and fold 3 or 4 cards at a time lol!

Hope you can get lots of rest before it's time to go for your class with Tim.

    Take care,

    Kat xx

  27. You're right - boring jobs are boring however you dress it up, but having a cup of tea and preferably a big piece of cake afterwards makes it bearable in my experience! :-)

  31. Yup, Buddy does look adorable, all snuggled up on the couch. If I was you, I would not touch another piece of paper, a scoring board, a bone folder, or anything related. Can you picture yourself having to say, "Oh I'm so sorry your Lordship, my shoulder is so sore, I could not even begin to try to do what you are teaching. Thanks, but I'll just sit here and watch." !!! It could happen unless you take care of yourself. Now go sit at the "business end" of Buddy and rest. Linda
