The Ribbon Girl Challenge #9

Hi Folks....Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there.
It's time for a brand new colour challenge over at The Ribbon Girl Blog and the colours this month have been chosen by Mary....

PINK & CREAM
the challenge will run for 2 weeks until 9pm on 3rd July and the lucky winner can choose a Special Selection Ribbon Kit in either Pink or Cream

and will also receive a £10 discount voucher from
the lovely girls at Lili Of The Valley
what did I make for the challenge...quelle surprise...another Altered Art box...sorry I just can't help myself..I'm in the grip of this mega addiction at the moment and I had great fun playing with the gorgeous goodies in this month's gorgeous Ribbon Girl DT kit...it just goes to show Altered Art doesn't have to be all inky and grungy...you can do soft and girly too.

I made a sweet little "Buttons & Bows" box perfect to store Ribbon Girl goodies using....
Seam Binding
Lace
Polka Dot Buttons
Pearl Pins
I painted the box with my favourite Annie Sloan Chalk Paint but it doesn't come in a Soft Pink so it was time to put my thinking cap on and hey presto I had one of those "doesn't happen very often" brainwave moments...would adding a little Ranger Adirondack Paint Dabber...Cranberry to Old White work and the answer obviously is YES....although I did mix up rather too much and now have enough to emulsion a small room. I know what you're thinking....mixing a bit of paint is hardly rocket science but you need to look at the bigger picture here....I've made a major discovery...the world's my oyster now...no holding me back....Altered Art will be coming to this blog in a kaleidoscope of colours from now.
Pop over and check out what my lovely teamies have come up with this month..we are so lucky to have the mega talented Riet joining us this month as Guest Designer....I know you will be ooohing and aaahing at their fabulous projects.
The Cubbyhole is shutting up shop for today....I'm off to spend some time with the grandkiddywinkies...and depending on the weather it will either be a "trampolining/football in the garden" day or a down on the floor with Star Wars and Lego kind of a day.  I'll see you all tomorrow to share what we made at my "Have Fun With Acetate" class on Saturday.
