And the freaky weather is back...looks like we will be welcoming in the New Year with torrential rain and howling gales...I don't wish the folks who were affected by the bad weather over Christmas any more bad fortune but I would be highly delighted if the weather did it's absolute worst in my neck of the woods on Hogmanay night...just enough to keep the idiot firework brigade indoors.
After 4 days of being missing from the cubbyhole I was looking forward to getting back in the crafty groove and just assumed we would zoom in...make a card for the Fiskars January Newsletter and zoom right out again...
not on your nelly...Mr Mojo refused to join our little soiree so there was lots of attempts which landed in the bin before we finally nailed it resulting in the cubbyhole looking like a war zone...
and I know what you're thinking...the floor isn't looking too drastic...
that was then...right this minute...it's unrecognisable under a deluge of little punched out bits and I'm darned if I'm waking Mr Dyson up at this time of night...it will keep until tomorrow...I'm off up the wooden hill to Bedfordshire...is it going to be another night of listening to the wind howling and wondering if we will still have a roof over our heads come morning.
Toodle-oo for now

It all seems to go by so fast!! I took the day off today .. made chicken noodle soup and anyone that's hungry can warm some up!! How do we put the brakes on the evening munchies???
ReplyDeleteAre soldiers sausage or toast sticks? Blessings

I was trying to keep my craft room clean over the holidays and there is only one way, stay out. I have had quite a day trying to make anything. I'm glad you shared.
Carole, soldiers are toast sticks! x
DeleteGood Morning Kath. I certainly agree with you that all the Festive indulgence has to come to an end. I was back in my craft room yesterday too. Enjoy your Day. Hugs Rita xxx
ReplyDeleteMy mojo is on vacation too...and the munchies are making me feel horrible....need to say goodbye to Christmas foods till next year! Lol!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Mr Dyson will make short work of that little lot of paper clippings!!! I'm with you on the "normal rations" lark - pass me a chocolate!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you
Kathyk
Oh I so sympathise with the Mr Mojo thingy! And as for the wind and rain, I hope it does keep the fireworks away, it is so unsettling for animals. Boiled eggs and soldiers sounds wonderful! Hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I sympathise... Got back from Aberdeen Friday eve, and not managed to create a thing yet! I may have left my mojo there! x
ReplyDeleteMorning Kath, nice to know that other people's craft rooms can sometimes be as messy as my own! I loved the look back over your 2013 projects over the past couple of days - very inspiring. Claire x
ReplyDeleteHi Kath, I hope your weather's as good as ours today, no wind and lovely sunshine. Not sure when this fireworks thing started, this corner never bothered with them to bring in a new year. There's an abundance of money to burn nowadays. Look forward to seeing what you made for Fiskers, I've been trying to clear out all the odd bits of card this week but hate to part with it all. Have a good day...Trish
ReplyDeletei too sympathise with the mojo thing. i think thete's a correlation for me between mojo loss and rich food eaten! time for my diet to kick in!!!! have a great sunday kath xx
ReplyDeleteMy digestive system will be glad too! says I munching a mince pie as I read your post (lol) enjoy your day... Hugs May x x x
ReplyDeleteYep, I seem to have smothered my mojo with rich food...very much looking forward to the start of my 'proper' routine tomorrow! I hope the weather doesn't cause you any harm...it's been pretty wild.
ReplyDeleteI've not managed to do anything cardwise yet but I have managed to do some knitting and reading the papers! Maybe tomorrow night or Tuesday!!
