Throwing Caution To The Wind...

Hi folks...life in the cubbyhole can get a bit repetitive...stuck in the same old crafting rut so the cubbyhole crew decided to throw caution to the wind...take themselves right out of their comfort zone and have a bit of a crafty rebel moment...sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't but hey it's only card and paper and you'll never know until you try. Something a little bit different for the Accordion Card project for my October Workshop at The Papeterie...a bit of a challenge to use two colours that you wouldn't normally associate with Christmas...Hickory Smoke and Ground Espresso...it just goes to show the versatility of Distress Inks and I think we pulled it off because I love the soft smokey look against the stark white of the card and the stacked snowflakes...
with the addition of some Vintage Foil Snowflakes to add a little sparkle...

The weather has definitely turned to Autumn in my neck of the woods...chilly wet and blowing a hooley but we're back on the kitting hamster wheel...lots to do before I head off to Birmingham in 4 weeks...gulp better get a wiggle on.

  5. Stunning. Absolutely stunning.

My Ground Espresso inkpad has already become indispensable. Looking at my complete DI collection it's hard to believe that three years ago I thought I'd never have a use for anything besides the Vintage Photo pad, lol. x

  8. Hi Kath,
This is really rather wonderful :). I do love the fact that you used colours not really associated with Christmas. They certainly work really well! I don't have the Ground Espresso ink yet but it looks like that one has to be moved to the top of my distress ink wish list :).
