and the theme for this week is...
AUTUMN
that wonderful time of the year when Mother Nature shows off her colouring skills and transforms the leaves from green to wondrous shades of red orange and gold. I decided to decorate a Tim Holtz 6"x8" Burlap Panel...
and started off by applying a coat of Grit Paste
and while I waited for that to dry...I die cut lots of leaves using Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves die and Holiday Greens Thinlits...sprayed with various colours of Distress Spray Stains...scrunched them up a bit and finished off with a light spritz of Antique Bronze Distress Mica Spray...I used the Birch and Pine and Leaf Prints stamp sets to create some interest on the background...
added some cheesecloth and the collage of leaves which I'd splattered with Picket Fence Distress Paint...
I used Letterpress and Wordplay die cuts to create the word "Autumn" and sanded them down a little to tone down the colour. I added Small Talk Stickers and a butterfly I found in one of Tim's Ephemera packs along with a memo pin.
Autumn has certainly arrived in my neck of the woods if the mountain of leaves piling up in the garden is anything to go by but no-one seems to have told the clematis...
or the Rudbekia who are still flowering their heads off...
