and the theme for this week is...
DISTRESS IT
I have a confession make...last week was a big hectic for me...I was busy putting the finishing touches to my new crafting space...Wimbledon started and in this house everything stops for tennis...my Summer couch potato guilty pleasure and time runs away with you when you're having fun. Before I knew it was Friday and I needed to make my project for this week's challenge so I delved into my stash of Tim Holtz Idea-ology to create a quick and easy collage type card where someone else has done all the work and I just needed to look out my Paper Distresser Tool and have some fun...
I cut paper from the Tim Holtz Memoranda Stash Pad (one of my favourites) to be slightly smaller than my card blank and distressed the edges with the Paper Distresser...created some rips with my trusty Fiskars scissors and inked around the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide.
For my collage I chose items from Idea-ology Collector...Botanical Layers...Snippets and gave them the same distress treatmentI used Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide (what a glorious colour) and the Mini Layering Stencil from Set 4 to add more colour to the paper...
added the collage items popped up with 3D foam pads to create dimension...a double Idea-ology Lace Trimmings bow and a little tab...
the flowers and butterflies from Botanical Layers...
Life Quotes Remnant Rubs...an Ideaology Index Clip coloured with Abandoned Coral Distress Paint and a Quote Chip...
chopped up to create individual words...
